The concern over President Joe Biden’s advanced age and cognitive abilities crystalized in the front half of the first presidential debate on Thursday, leading to panic among his supporters and several notable individuals to call for him to be replaced on the ticket.
Biden had multiple gaffes and stumbles as the debate began, trailing off at points and mixing up and missing words while completing his answers and replies to his opponent. This was sharply contrasted by Trump, who shouted about Biden’s perceived failures. While he got it together in the second half hour, the damage to Biden’s campaign was apparent.
Immediately after the debate, CNN reported that Biden’s incoherence was causing alarm bells to go off with top Democratic leaders who are now wondering what to do. The network’s chyron in the panelist’s post-debate analysis read: “Sources: Dems saying ‘we have a problem’ after Biden’s performance tonight.

When I heard that Rupert Murdoch’s fourth marriage was not going to last long enough to get to the seven-year itch, it brought back vivid and somewhat unsettling memories of his previous marital split from the remarkable Wendi Deng.
Why I would ever have anything to do with Rupert Murdoch’s marital problems is a valid question and one I asked myself at the time.
Murdoch had married Deng, more than 30 years his junior, in June 1999. In June 2013, when the world learned that the marriage had foundered, The Hollywood Reporter had not picked up the news with the speed that our editor at the time deemed sufficient. As she gazed at the editorial staff gathered around a conference table that morning, her displeasure seemed to lower the temperature in the room by at least 15 degrees. “How can we advance this story?” she asked.

Larry Klayman has sued Facebook and Zuckerberg for its failure to shut down the "Third Intifada" Facebook page sooner than it did. Who is this "one-man litigation explosion," and what does he represent?
On Thursday, Larry Klayman, a Washington, D.C., lawyer, sued Facebook and Mark Zuckerber for $1 billion in damages. Facebook's offense? Failing to shut down the "Third Intifada" Facebook page sooner than it did. Since Klayman, is "known to be a strong supporter of Israel, and has been called a 'Zionist' publicly by radical Palestinians and other such Arabic interests," argued a breathless press release issued by Klayman, "Mr. Klayman is thus a target of this call to kill Jews."
The "Third Intifada" page debuted on Facebook in March, initially calling for peaceful protests in the Palestinian territories on May 15. As a non-violent protest page, "Third Intifada" positioned itself to be the Palestinian heir to the digitally-assisted...

Back in 2006, Jacob Weisberg, who runs the Slate Group, argued that The Wire "is surely the best TV show ever broadcast in America. This claim isn't based on my having seen all the possible rivals for the title, but on the premise that no other program has ever done anything remotely like what this one does, namely to portray the social, political, and economic life of an American city with the scope, observational precision, and moral vision of great literature."...

Geroge Bush's biographers have mixed thoughts on Oliver Stone's biopic of the current Us president, The Hollywood Reporter says.
The controversial Stone plans to shoot W later this month with Josh Brolin in the lead role. Biographers who have read the film's script have questioned its accuracy and feel Stone may not be able to give a balanced view of the President.

The Bush Tragedy author Jacob Weisberg questioned Stone's claim that he will make "a fair, true portrait" of Bush. "His saying he is going to be fair to Bush . . .
