She was first an actress in the radio show La pension Velder which later became a TV series. She then became a journalist for Radio-Canada specializing in foreign affairs and was awarded in 1972 the Olivar-Asselin journalism award for her work. One of the major buildings of UQAM university in Montréal bears her name.
