- Judith Jasmin was born on July 10, 1916 in Terrebonne, Québec, Canada. She died on October 20, 1972 in Montréal, Québec, Canada.
- She was first an actress in the radio show La pension Velder which later became a TV series. She then became a journalist for Radio-Canada specializing in foreign affairs and was awarded in 1972 the Olivar-Asselin journalism award for her work. One of the major buildings of UQAM university in Montréal bears her name.
- One of the prizes of the Quebec journalists org. bears her name since 1975.
