Garden Studios in London, which opened its doors in early 2021, has hired Sky Studios top executive Bee Devine as chief operating officer. She will start the role in June and report to Garden Studios founder and CEO Thomas Hoegh.
Devine has worked as director of content operations at Sky Studios, the production arm of European pay-tv and technology giant Sky, since May 2021 after serving as director of operational transformation since May 2020. Before that, Devine held various other positions at Sky, including as program director, content resource planning and as group metadata director, following years in TV production and broadcast facilities management across the independent sector. Comcast has owned Sky since its $39 billion acquisition in 2018.

Sky Studios’ director of content operations Bee Devine has joined London film and TV studios Garden Studios as its chief operating officer, taking over from Anthony Gannon.
Garden Studios was established in early 2021, with a focus on sustainability, and has a footprint of more than 300,000 ft2 including four soundstages, with more in development, and a permanent virtual production stage.
Devine joined Sky in 2013. During her tenure she has overseen all operational elements of Sky Studios, the development, commissioning and production arm of Sky, where her responsibilities included delivery of all scripted Sky originals such as Mary And George, Gangs Of London and Gomorrah.

In an internal note sent this morning, seen by Deadline, Sky Studios CEO Cécile Frot-Coutaz praised Millichip’s “huge contribution” since she joined to head up production and distribution arm Sky Vision (now Sky Studios) in 2013.
