The Bold and the Beautiful’s Sheila Carter has defied death once again and no one is more surprised than her portrayer, Kimberlin Brown, who thought her alter ego’s demise in February was the real deal. “Brad [Bell, executive producer/head writer] called me up to his office and he just told me, ‘We’re going to be killing off your character,’” she recalls. “It kind of sucked the air out of the room for me. But I knew the day was coming. I knew that it couldn’t last forever. I was just really thankful that it lasted as long as it did.” So Brown was understandably thrilled to receive a call a mere few weeks after Sheila’s death played out on screen, inviting her back to the soap. “I truly believe that [with] the fan outcry when they killed me off and the stories [in the press] that went viral,...

Spoiler Alert! This story contains a major plot point that was revealed on the April 29 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful.
Exclusive: Talk about a major do-over on the CBS daytime drama.
On the April 29 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, fans learned that a character they loved to hate isn’t really dead after all.
The villainous Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), who was supposedly killed off two months ago on the CBS daytime drama, is actually alive and well.
In an effort to bring back the popular Brown, head writer Brad Bell crafted a surprise comeback that involves a character named Sugar who first emerged on Bold‘s sister soap The Young and the Restless (where Brown originated Sheila in 1990). Sheila has a lookalike named Sugar, so she was the woman who was killed by Steffy Forrester on Feb. 26. It was not, ahem,...

Kristen Bell and Adam Brody are still hard at work on their upcoming project.
The two co-stars stopped for coffee while taking a break from filming their upcoming Netflix comedy series on Tuesday afternoon (April 23) in Los Angeles.

With three episodes left to air in Season 6, CBS’ FBI appears to be taking a veteran team member out of the field.
The April 23 episode, “Family Affair,” revolved around the abduction of a pregnant woman, Denise, by her cult leader father. With a begrudging Ok from the Atf (which had been keeping eyes on the cult’s well-armed commune), the FBI team launched a plan to find and rescue Denise. Scola posed as the weekly food delivery driver, with Maggie and Oa hiding in the back of his truck. After Scola pulled up to the commune’s main house, Maggie...

When Andrew Lincoln left The Walking Dead in 2018, fans were promised a trilogy of movies to bring his character’s story to fruition.
Sadly, those movies never materialized, but AMC gave him and Danai Gurira a six-episode limited series titled The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live that charts Michonne’s quest to reunite with her husband, Rick, and take him back home.
The series premiere aired Sunday, February 25, and fans were bursting with pride across social media as the two beloved characters crossed paths for the first time since 2018.
The premiere was hard at work filling in the gaps about what became of Rick after he blew up a bridge to protect those he loved before being whisked off on a Crm helicopter by Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh).
Rick tried to escape countless times, which ultimately put him on what can only be described as a leash when he was taken out into the world.

The upcoming Lucasfilm theatrical release “The Mandalorian & Grogu” is one of 15 films to secure an estimated $61 million in 2024 production tax incentives through California’s Film and Television Tax Credit Program.
The California Film Commission touted Disney’s “Mandalorian & Grogu” as the biggest-budget movie to ever qualify for state’s tax program, which distributes $330 million annually in state tax credits to TV and film productions. The 15 films in total — a mix of independent and major studio productions — are projected to inject nearly $408 million in production spending into the state’s economy. “Mandalorian” alone is expected to generate $166 million in spending in the state. The Cfc estimates the production activity across the 15 films will generate jobs for an estimated 2,252 crew members, 598 cast members and 16,800 background performers poised to work across a combined 579 filming days.
Other titles securing incentive commitments include Amazon MGM Studios’ “The Accountant 2” starring Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal; Chris Pratt-starrer “Mercy,...

Uh oh. We have a serial killer on our hands.
Stabler's devastating discovery on Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 Episode 5 is only the beginning of a horrific case reminiscent of the real-life Gilgo Beach killer.
Maybe finding the killer will give him purpose, but he's at his lowest point right now. Where will he go from here?
It always sucks when a missing person is found dead. Before the gruesome discovery, there's always hope they're still somewhere in the world and can be rescued.
In Rita's case, the tragedy is compounded by the fact that Stabler rescued her from the Albanian mob, only for her to end up dead at the hands of a serial killer. Stabler had hoped against hope that she'd be found alive, and when he uncovered her grave, there were no words for his pain.
These scenes were perfect. Although it seemed like Rita was dead,...

Reyes and Jet's relationship went from annoying to compelling in an hour.
On Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 Episode 3, Jet's feelings went deeper than she admitted, contributing to a chaotic undercover situation. And Reyes getting out of control was one of the scariest moments!
This relationship might have been an unhealthy way of dealing with the aftermath of Whelan's death, but it led to a compelling subplot during a complicated case.
Jet and Reyes hooking up had a bad idea written all over it for too many reasons, so I was waiting for this stupid relationship to end.
Yet somehow, all the beats were just right, and the resolution of this mess kept me glued to the screen. Instead of tired TV tropes around affairs between cops, the writers deftly weaved their relationship woes into the main plot.

Stories of Australia’s “Stolen Generations” — Aboriginal children forcibly removed from their families by a white government — fuel the central metaphor in “The Moogai,” Jon Bell’s Sundance horror movie based on his 2020 short film. Unfortunately, this well-meaning metaphorical approach defines the strict boundaries of Bell’s feature debut, a brief but languid thriller rife with reminders of meaning that fail to coalesce into something thrilling or moving.
A riveting prologue, set decades in the past, orients the viewer within Australia’s torrid history, as white men in suits attempt to chase down and kidnap Black children on an Aboriginal reserve. Two of these kids, a pair of young sisters, evade this fate of ethnic cleansing and forced assimilation, though one of them ends up taken by a supernatural force hiding in the shadows: the Moogai, a folkloric boogeyman who snatches children with its sickly, talon-like fingers.

"Fairly OddParents" may not be quite as universally recognizable as Nickelodeon's flagship series, but the very funny series about wish-granting fairy godparents that only kids can see seems to be just as prolific. Though the original animated series last aired in 2017, live-action movies and a live-action Paramount+ spinoff series have kept the world of Cosmo (Daran Norris) and Wanda (Susanne Blakeslee) alive over the years. Now, thanks to a report from What's On Netflix (via Cbr), rumors are swirling that another animated series set within the same cartoon universe as the original may be in the works at Netflix.
The original run of "Fairly OddParents" followed spiky-haired pre-teen Timmy Turner (Tara Strong) through a not-so-great adolescence that suddenly got a lot better when he discovered he had fairy godparents to help him through. Cosmo and Wanda were far from your traditional Disney fairies, though, and pretty much every wish...

It seems these days the devil’s designs have strayed from virginal teen girls to kindergarteners. Whether stuffing them in animatronic suits or isolating them in apocalyptic cabins, the worst thing an au courant horror villain can do is harm children. The second-worst sin is to disbelieve a mother. The Moogai, Jon Bell’s feature debut based on his short film of the same name, wears these trends like a badge of honor. But while The Moogai comes by its earnest messaging honestly––the real horrors stem from Australian colonialism––it just feels like a different take on old tropes.
At the center of the action is Sarah (Shari Sebbens), a new mom in the middle of her own Rosemary’s Baby-like conspiracy. There’s something inherently a little unsettling about a tower block. And that’s particularly true of the glistening edifices of modern London, with enormous windows, uninspired furnishing, and even less personality than a geography teacher convention. In Andrew Haigh‘s new drama All of Us Strangers, one of these tower blocks becomes pure purgatory – a cavernous liminal space in which two lonely men are trapped, at least until they can find each other.
Haigh simply doesn’t make noisy films. With the likes of Weekend and 45 Years, he has proven adept at telling smart, human stories about relationships at very different stages. In some ways, his work lives in those liminal, uncertain spaces. All of Us Strangers, which combines Haigh’s trademark thoughtful humanity with lashings of ghost story, is no different and is as fascinating as it is desperately painful.

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Don Diamont is excited about his new storyline, which has his alter ego, Bill Spencer, reconnecting with Poppy Nozawa, a woman from his past. “I am thrilled that Brad [Bell, executive producer/head writer] came up with it and I am right on board,” says the actor. “Poppy coming out of nowhere is awakening things in Bill that had been at rest for quite a while.” Bill and Poppy are set to grow even closer in the weeks ahead, which is welcome news to Diamont. “It’s a unique story and I really enjoy working with Romy [Park, Poppy],” he raves. “She’s just terrific, and Poppy is just so free and uninhibited. Bill’s just totally wrapped up in her.” (Credit: Monty Brinton/CBS) For Diamont, who spent years sharing scenes with Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) and Heather Tom (Katie), working with a...

In all the years Stabler has been a fixture in the Law & Order universe, he never mentioned his brother.
After meeting Randall on Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 Episode 2, we know why.
Randall gave off seriously annoying vibes, seemed to be in a constant battle to one-up Elliot, and was ill-prepared to deal with Mama Stabler's dementia. After an hour with him, I'm ready for him to go back to wherever he came from!
I'm not any more sure why Stabler's mother felt she needed Randall than she seemed to be. So far, he's been nothing but obnoxious.
He also seems to look down on Stabler for being a cop, accusing him of never being around for his family. Meanwhile, Elliot has been the one who has been there dealing with their mother's dementia (even if he did have to disappear whenever he went undercover.)

Over the course of six decades (1910-1970), tens of thousands of Australian Aboriginal children were forcibly removed from their homes due to the assimilation policies that were in place at the time. These policies claimed that the lives of First Nations people would be improved if they became part of white society, and an effort to breed out color from the Aboriginal population was carried out. Unsurprisingly, the lives of the removed children were not improved, with studies showing that many of them developed adverse reactions to their removal like mental health issues, drug and alcohol abuse, among others. These children became known as The Stolen Generation, and their experiences left a black mark in Australia’s history.

An armed and angry victim caused so many needless deaths on Law & Order: Svu Season 12 Episode 24 that Stabler turned in his walking papers. And now, a decade later, the squad room is again the focal point of a violent attack.
Spoilers for Law & Order: Svu Season 25 Episode 2 point to a chaotic scene, with armed assailants throwing chairs through windows and attacking staff while Benson calls for backup. But could the violence be the opening for the Law & Order: Organized Crime crossover that Bensler fans want?
We haven't heard any official news about a crossover, but clues have already suggested one could be coming down the pike.

Andrew Haigh’s All of Us Strangers has its share of mysteries and dreamscapes and detours into the mystical, but it drops a breadcrumb morsel of a clue to viewers early on. You don’t know it on a first viewing — and this is the sort of rich, layered, remarkable work of art that requires more than a few — yet the detail that the filmmaker momentarily fixates on is telling. Adam (Andrew Scott) is a screenwriter, struggling to start work on a project. He alternates between staring at a blank...

In English filmmaker Andrew Haigh’s All of Us Strangers, grief is overwhelming. Emotions run deep, relationships ebb within the span of a scene, and loneliness becomes all-consuming. Haigh’s ephemeral drama follows Adam (a darting Andrew Scott) as he begins a relationship with Harry (Paul Mescal in another role as a broken young man), while he grapples with the death of his parents many years ago. He visits these parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell), remembering them as they once were, sleeping in his childhood home, telling them about his childhood, his sexuality, and his immense sadness.
Haigh’s films often contain this amount of emotional weight, this blanket of innate feeling. He oscillates with the novels he chooses to adapt, most recently taking on grim brutality in The North Water––far from the brighter touch of his newest film, even if both stories retain high levels of intensity.

Tucked into the official logline of Andrew Haigh’s heartbreaking “All of Us Strangers” are plenty of intriguing ideas. Mainly, there’s the revelation that Harry’s (played by Andrew Scott) parents are long dead by the time the film opens, and begin appearing to him three decades after they passed away. So stars Claire Foy and Jamie Bell, known simply as “Mum” and “Dad” in the film, are, what? Ghosts? Memories made corporeal? Dreams?
For Foy, those big questions weren’t the most thrilling part of the film. Instead, it was the chance to dive so deeply into a character that, even more than a year since the end of production — the film shot in the summer of 2022 in the UK — she can still conjure up intensely personal alternate realities for a woman literally bound in time.
