With a comic book-styled poster, horror comedy short The Code sees a couple's date go badly wrong when they are attacked by flesh-eating zombies.
But an apparent scheduling mishap with a chainsaw killer, a vampire and Bigfoot puts a whole new slant on the night.
Director Mark Blitch's six-minute, blood-slobbering monster mash-up won 11 awards at Houston's Splatterfest including best film, director, screenplay, editing, kill, splatter and special effects; and audience favourite film, story, kill and make-up.
The full video for The Code, starring Tamara Voss, Taylor James Brandt, Todd Terry and Daylon Walton, is embedded below. There's also an official Facebook page.
More gore is being spilled, this time of the Germanic variety, in Marc Rohnstock's Necronos.
Two new promo pictures have been released as a taster for the movie. One is rather gruesomely graphic, even with the already-censored areas blacked out; the other is included below.

The B-Movie Underground and Trash Film Festival brings their unique collection of international sleaze on Sept. 7-11 in the city of Breda in the Netherlands. Violence, gore, general grossness and perversion are, once again, near and dear to the heart of this fun fest.
From the U.S., the But Fest is screening a few modern underground classics while also celebrating a few of the old masters. Included in the lineup are Usama Alshaibi‘s mind-blowing Muslim sex worker flick Profane, Zach Clark‘s wild weekend of debauchery Vacation! and Dan Nelson & Drew Bolduc‘s over-the-top The Taint.
Plus, But is honoring Cinema of Transgression mastermind Nick Zedd with several screenings of his classic works, such as Thrust in Me, Police State and Whoregasm, as well as his recent public access TV series Electra Elf.
Other films from around world include horror hits like César Ducasse & Mathieu Peteul’s Dark Souls,...

I seems like only yesterday (read: 6 days ago) that I posted a plethora of images from writer/director Marc Rohnstock’s upcoming German splatter epic “Necronos: Tower of Doom” here at Beyond Hollywood. Nipping at the shredded heels of that little promotional maneuver comes the “censored” trailer for the aforementioned horror outing, a clip that promises the follow elements: splatter, gore, fantasy, horror, blood, and nudity. From the looks of things, the filmmakers have delivered the goods. Timo Rose and Olaf Ittenbach should be extremely proud. I’m a pretty sick and twisted individual, so, naturally, I’m excited to see it. In case you missed it the first time, here’s the synopsis: Necronos, one of the mightiest minions of the devil himself has come to earth to create an invincible army of the undead under leadership of barbaric demons, called Berzerkers. To achieve his goal Necronos needs...

Infernal Films has sent out new stills and a poster for their gore-drenched film Necronos: The Tower of Doom, directed by Marc Rohnstock.
Necronos, one of the mightiest minions of the devil himself, has come to earth to create an invincible army of the undead under leadership of barbaric demons called Berzerkers. To achieve his goal, Necronos needs numerous, often very macabre and difficult to come by, ingredients. So Satan sends him two assistants to achieve his goal – Goran, a blood demon and footman loyal to Necronos, as well as The Mighty Witch to locate the chosen one – a virgin witch.
