It's two years after CBS canceled All Rise the first time, and here we are again. It's All Rise's series finale; this time, it's for keeps.
All Rise holds a dear place in my heart. I've cared about the cases and the relationships in the series. I was so excited to watch Mark and Amy get married on All Rise Season 3 Episode 20.
I'm unsure if OWN knew that All Rise 3B was the final season initially, but these past ten episodes have been fantastic, and this was the ideal send-off.
Before we dive into the wedding details, let's discuss the final case. As much as I adored Emily Lopez and her helping lost souls, I would have preferred focusing on Mark and Amy's wedding and dealing with the Russians.
However, Emily represented Nori Byrd, who was accused of murdering her husband with a bloody knife. She passed out...

If you've missed Law & Order: Svu, this is the ideal All Rise episode to watch.
It felt like a classic episode where the lines were gray, and the trial was complicated.
Emily defended a woman charged with attacking her rapist on All Rise Season 3 Episode 18. While many victims have had similar urges to go after their attacker, is it revenge or is it justice? That's tricky, legally.
It's difficult not to empathize with Darlene. Dr. Vasquez, her boss, was acquitted of raping her, so she decided to take vengeance into her own hands.
Darlene: I needed to show him he couldn’t get away with what he did to me, no matter what the jury said. I don’t trust juries.
Emily: You’ll have to move past that.
Permalink: You’ll have to move past that. Added: November 02, 2023
I'm surprised Emily didn't use the insanity plea, especially since Darlene struggled with reality.

The final episodes are almost here. All Rise Season 4 premieres on Saturday, September 16, and they're bringing the drama.
OWN TV dropped the official season trailer, which teases loss, romance, returns, and riveting cases.
It’s hard to believe this is the end since we’ve grown to love these characters, but hopefully, OWN had enough time to craft a proper goodbye.
At the end of All Rise Season 3 Episode 10, Brandon Nation had caused senseless violence and possibly killed Ness and Teddy.
We’re still unsure if one or both of them die, but Lola is on the warpath to prevent more violence.
Lola’s marriage was also in jeopardy since Andre took advantage of her fear and kissed her, and Robin walked in at that moment.
Can she and Robin work things out and learn to communicate their needs better?
The other couples are finally flourishing. Luke and Emily finally...

Judge Lola Carmichael and her team of attorneys have kept us entertained with their fight for justice and their own drama for almost three seasons.
Unfortunately, the long wait for the second half of All Rise Season 3 is killing the momentum. It hasn't aired in a year, and its future beyond the filmed episodes is up in the air.
The show will be back on the air at some point, though, and we've rounded up everything there is to know about what could be the final-ever episodes.
All Rise Season 3 Episode 10 ended bittersweetly since two lives hung in the balance due to Brandon Nation.
While couples reuniting during a tragedy is overdone, seeing Luke rush to save Emily and Maddy from Leo and the two finally admit their feelings were long overdue.
It was such an emotional scene, but viewers want happier times instant of continuous angst for Luke and Emily.

The fate of All Rise is, once again, up in the air.
Deadline reported Thursday that Warner Bros. Television has released the cast of the legal drama.
OWN, which picked up the show from CBS after the network canceled it after two seasons, has yet to schedule the second half of All Rise Season 3.
The show has been off the air since early August, so the lack of updates on when the rest of the season would air has been a major cause for concern.
Deadline notes that OWN will not make an official decision on a pickup for a potential fourth season until the next batch of episodes air.
The outlet believes the episodes will see the light of day later this year.
However, there's a good chance the cast will have moved on to new projects, meaning that assembling everyone again for a potential All Rise Season 4 will be a difficult task.

Girl power rules!
Emily, Ness, and Amy showed how fierce they were as they fought for their clients on All Rise Season 3 Episode 6.
Judge Lisa Benner and Judge Lola Carmichael also assisted in solving a 20-year-old crime. "I'll Be There" showed the power of support and teamwork.
I've had my doubts about Judge Marshall since All Rise Season 3 Episode 1. Those doubts intensified when I learned he presided over Randall Mack's trial 20 years ago, and he didn't want anyone digging into new evidence.
Nothing can stop Emily Lopez, though. She was determined to prove that Randall was wrongfully convicted and had a confession and affidavit from the real killer to prove it.
Ms. Lopez, wasn’t your client convicted by a jury and found that the prosecution had proven their case beyond a reasonable doubt?

I felt like I was watching an episode of Law and Order: Svu with the assault case they highlighted.
The controversial case in All Rise Season 3 Episode 2 included social media influencer Gigi Raymond (ex-Days Olivia Rose Keegan), who accused famous hockey star Tyler Pierce of assaulting her.
This case elicited many emotions because it was realistic. It also pitted Mark and Amy against each other, with Mark representing Gigi and Amy defending Tyler and trying to make him look like a saint.
These kinds of he-said-she-said assault cases are the hardest. They're not always black and white. Sometimes there is some grey, and the character image is everything.
Sometimes, this hurts the victim and helps the abuser. Gigi was a popular influencer. However, since she documented everything, it made people wonder if this was another ploy to win fans.
Amy tried to exploit that throughout the trial. Initially, Amy wanted...

It's been a long wait for All Rise, but the former CBS drama makes its grand return to the air Tuesday, June 7, at 8/7c.
As previously reported, the new season will bow on OWN, just over a year after CBS canceled it.
The freshly released trailer highlights there will be a lot of twists and turns on All Rise Season 3.
“This election exposed your vulnerabilities,” attorney Corrine Cuthbert (guest star Anne Heche) tells Lola.
"This little war of ours is far from over," she declares.
Thankfully, Lola has a great support system in Judge Benner, who tells her to "show them why you won."
The series follows the chaotic, hopeful, and sometimes absurd lives of its judges, prosecutors, and public defenders, as they work with bailiffs, clerks, and police to get justice for the people of Los Angeles amidst a flawed legal system.

All Rise will be back in session this summer on OWN.
While it was initially reported that the CBS-turned-own legal drama would be back in the spring, the cabler announced Wednesday that it would be back in June.
The news broke during the virtual Television Critics association.
On the casting front, there will be some changes.
Marg Helgenberger has been confirmed to return in the recurring role of Judge Lisa Benner.
Helgenberger's future on the show was up in the air when the star booked a pilot before the show was revived.
She is also in talks to return to the CSI universe, but hey, at least Judge Benner will be a part of the new season.
Christian Keyes is set to take over the role of Lola's husband Robin. The role was previously played by Todd Williams.
Simone Missick will reprise her role as Judge Lola Carmichael.

After a tumultuous second season that had more drama offscreen than on it, the cast and crew of “All Rise” are thrilled to be embarking on a third season at the Oprah Winfrey Network.
The cabler picked up the legal drama when it was canceled after two seasons at CBS amid shake-ups that saw several writers resign and showrunner Greg Spottiswood fired for misconduct.
“I thought we were over,” said current showrunner and executive producer Dee Harris-Lawrence, who took over after Spottiswood’s exit.
“There’s not that many shows like our show that tell these type of stories. So I’m excited to continue them at OWN,” she said during a Television Critics Association panel on Wednesday, in which she gushed that 80% of the staff are back for the series’ new beginning.

CBS’ “All Rise” is a new courthouse drama that follows the chaotic, hopeful, and sometimes absurd lives of its judges, prosecutors, and public defenders as they work with bailiffs, clerks, and cops to get justice for the people of Los Angeles, all set against the backdrop of a flawed legal system. It specifically follows a California prosecutor’s rise to the bench, as she pushes boundaries and challenges expectations of what a judge can be while contending with the resulting ramifications of her actions.
Simone Missick leads the series as newly appointed Judge Lola Carmichael, a highly regarded and impressive (former) deputy district attorney who doesn’t intend to sit back on the bench. She’s strong, smart, and compassionate, serving both as judge and counselor, often giving guidance to colleagues, as well as lawyers and their clients. Though she’s initially intimidated as a first-time judge, and remains green...
