Dominique Thorne’s Ironheart debuted in the MCU with 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. While not a protégé of Tony Stark, Riri Williams is also a brilliant tech wiz/inventor who built her own suit of armor with the help of the Wakandans in the film. The character’s spunk and charm made audiences want to see more of her in the MCU.

In July 2018, a film based on the Marvel Comics character Riri Williams/Ironheart had a script written by Jada Rodriguez and was listed on The Black List. However, the film did not materialize. In December 2020, Marvel Studios announced the development of a Disney+ television series titled ‘Ironheart.’
Now 3 years after her first appearance, it looks like the wait is finally over for Riri as her show will release in 2025. During the Disney Upfront presentation, plenty of information has been presented and we decided to conveniently summarize them for you in this neat guide.
Ironheart will follow Riri after the events of ‘Wakanda Forever’
Not much was known about the show except that it will follow Riri Williams. Now we know that it’s going to follow Riri after her return back home to Chicago and she will discover “dangerous threads that bring danger and adventure”.

When the character Riri Williams (played by Dominique Thorne) made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut back in 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the idea was that we’d be seeing the character again the following year in her own Disney+ show Ironheart… but 2023 came and went without Ironheart, and the show still doesn’t have an official premiere date. This has caused some fans to speculate that Marvel and Disney+ might have decided to scrap Ironheart, along with the series Wonder Man, which had Yahya Abdul-Mateen II taking on the role of the title character, who is also known as Simon Williams and hasn’t been seen in the MCU yet. But no, Ironheart and Wonder Man are not being scrapped, and in a new interview with Agents of Fandom, Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation Brad Winderbaum described the shows as spectacular, amazing, and different.

There has been a lot of fan speculation about Marvel Comics’ extra-dimensional demon character Mephisto showing up in a Marvel Cinematic Universe project. Many fans were sure Mephisto’s demonic mug was going to show up in WandaVision at some point… but that didn’t happen, so fans started wondering if he’ll be in the WandaVision spin-off Agatha: Coven of Chaos. It remains to be seen if that’s going to happen, but it sounds like we will see Mephisto in the Ironheart series. And it’s RUMORed that while we’ll primarily be seeing Mephisto in human form, there will be “glimpses” of his true demonic form.
Insider @CanWeGetToast claims (as reported by SuperHeroHype), “Mephisto will mostly be seen in his human form in Ironheart, while only giving Glimpses of his true form. Mephisto has The Hood stealing tech for him to build an advanced Bio-Suit in Ironheart.

Veteran Canadian-American voice actress Cree Summer has joined the cast of Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart, sources tell Deadline. A rep for Marvel declined comment.
As Deadline reported earlier this month, Sacha Baron Cohen also has been tipped for a role in the series. Since our story ran, there has been further proof that Baron Cohen has joined the MCU, something Marvel and his reps have refused to comment on. I hear he may appear later in Ironheart’s run, with Episodes 5-6 considered likely. In addition to in-person scenes, rumor is that there have been scans for CGI effects, which would indicate a superhero alter ego for Baron Cohen’s character. He is believed to be playing a comic book villain, probably Mephisto.

Marvel fans have been theorizing about the arrival of Mephisto in the MCU for some time, particularly in the WandaVision series. That didn’t come to pass, but it feels like fans have been picking up Mephisto teases ever since. The latest rumour making the rounds is that Sacha Baron Cohen is reportedly in talks to play Mephisto, with the villain apparently making his first appearance in the upcoming Ironheart series.
According to Deadline, sources have confirmed to them that there has been talk of Sacha Baron Cohen joining the cast of Ironheart, likely as Mephisto, but Marvel representatives refused to comment. Whether Sacha Baron Cohen takes on the role of Mephisto or not, I have little doubt that the character will appear one day. Speculation has been growing that Sacha Baron Cohen has entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a role in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart as a comic book villain.

Like with any major Marvel characters, word is that Cohen would appear in other projects. If the Mephisto alter ego is confirmed, that could include the upcoming WandaVision spinoff Agatha: Coven of Chaos as Mephisto had a presence (but was never shown) on the praised mothership series starring Elizabeth Olsen.

Dominique Thorne stars as the new hero in the Disney+ series, which follows a genius, 15-year-old MIT student — taught by a character played by Jim Rash — who creates a suit of armor inspired by Iron Man. “What I’m doing. It’s important. It’s iconic,” Thorne’s Riri said in the first look footage.

It sounds like the rumors of behind-the-scenes drama on NBC's canceled Good Girls are true.
Retta, who starred in all four seasons of the dramedy, admitted this week that she is "salty" over how the series' demise played out.
On Monday's episode of Live With Kelly and Ryan, the actress said the series was "very close" to returning for Season 5.
However, "One person ruined it for all of cast and crew, and so it's not back."
Ripa questioned whether the person in question could simply be removed from the final season.
“I think it was a little too close to when [the writers] would have to start [Season 5 scripts] and figure out story, so… no. Trust me, Kelly, I’m salty," Retta said, according to TV Line.
As for how Retta would have written the cast member out, the star shared the following:
“I was literally like, ‘Ok, maybe there was a bomb scare at some point,...

Good Girls may have ended before fans wanted it to, but the ladies at the center of the former NBC series are still as tight-knit as you’d hope they’d be. Spencer almost made it out the door.
For the briefest of times, he enjoyed his farewell tour of all those important to him on All American Season 4 Episode 3.
Now, well, he's rapidly sliding back to Jordan status -- lots of potential but not too many opportunities.
That's not to say that Spencer might not still end up in Ohio.
But when he learned that the coach who recruited him (played by the always cool Manny Montana) had left the program now run by that generic white Midwestern coach, his enthusiasm waned.
But hey, when he was on the clock and about to leave town, didn't he speed around repairing relationships all across the city that he had been damaging for parts of two seasons? So that's something.
Coach Hudson seemed to be offering Spencer quite an opportunity to play as a true freshman. But seriously, wouldn't an All-American be playing...

Weeks after the official cancellation of one of the best shows on broadcast TV, we have some clarity.
TV Line is reporting that a truncated Good Girls Season 5 was set at NBC, but the deal blew up due to various factors.
The outlet says that in May, it was assumed that the show would be brought back for an eight-episode final season to wrap up the story.
"[We] very much wanted to bring Good Girls back for one more season to close out the story, but unfortunately, we were unable to make the financials work," an NBC spokesperson told TV Line after the cancellation.
With live ratings dipping, Christina Hendricks, Retta, and Mae Whitman reportedly agreed to take salary cuts to bring the show to a close.
Now, it is speculated that Manny Montana, who plays Rio, couldn't agree with NBC over pay cuts and scheduling to remain with the show.

In late May, word began circulating that NBC had unofficially signed off on a plan to renew bubble dramedy Good Girls for a shortened fifth and final season, one that would give fans something that has become increasingly elusive in the broadcast-tv landscape: closure. All three of the series’ leading ladies — Christina Hendricks, Mae Whitman and Retta — agreed to take pay cuts to return for a reduced eight-episode swan song. Production was tentatively set to begin in Spring 2022. It was, for all intents and purposes, a done deal.
