Doctor Strange director, Scott Derrickson, is known for two things: horror and Marvel. His epic vision and style shine through in films like Sinister and The Day the Earth Stood Still. And yet, fans weep over the scandal-ridden production of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Of Madness.
An IP that should have remained in the hands of Derrickson, the changing of the old guard to bring in Sam Raimi was a decision praised by many. However, with time, regrets surface, and missed opportunities are realized as fans grasp the true scale of Scott Derrickson’s vision.

Doctor Strange Was Always Destined for Greatness
There are truly one or two things in this world that are worthy of being called the stuff of legends. Among monuments, it’s the Giza Necropolis; in literature, Homer’s Iliad; and, of course, Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey when it comes to film.

Nearly everyone won in Gwyneth Paltrow’s trial over a supposed ski collision with a retired optometrist — well, except for him. The internet received an endless well of memes about the actress’ incredible lack of relatability and Paltrow herself was awarded $1 in damages from a countersuit against Terry Sanderson, 76, who claimed she left him with a brain injury, four broken ribs, and emotional damage after crashing into him while skiing at an Utah country club in 2016.

Attorneys in the Gwyneth Paltrow trial ploughed through witness questioning and social media photos on Wednesday during the trial in Utah, where a man claims she crashed into him while skiing in Park City. During cross-examination, neuropsychologist Dr. Angela Eastvold testified that plaintiff Terry Sanderson scored high on “narcissism” and that he “may lack empathy,” citing records from a previous evaluation.

In the second week of the Gwyneth Paltrow ski saga, the court heard excerpts from statements given by the actress’ children, Apple and Moses Martin.
Depositions given by Apple and Moses were read by the legal teams on Tuesday. Apple, who was around 11 or 12 at the time of the collision in 2016, said her mother had been “in a state of shock.” The actress’ daughter said she heard a “commotion” on the slope before skiing downhill, and that she had never seen her mother “shaken up like that” following the crash.

Taylor Swift has broken her political silence. The singer has been known to keep her party affiliations to herself, but she ended that trend in a long Instagram post on Sunday. In her upload, Swift reveals who she is voting for in the midterm elections on Nov. 6 and why. She will be voting in Tennessee, she explained. "I'm writing this post about the upcoming midterm elections on November 6th," she wrote. She wrote that the last two years have had a great deal of impact on her and played a role in her decision to speak out. On Aug. 14, 2017, Swift won her case against David Mueller in which she accused him of groping her. The singer received a symbolic $1. The "Delicate" singer alluded to...

Sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll have always been a package deal with male music stars. They’re so intertwined that we almost expect — maybe even prefer — our pop and rock gods to be bad boys.
Male stars are held to ridiculously lower standards than female stars, and it’s evident in the relatively muted effect #MeToo has had on the music industry. Groupie culture and the casual exploitation of female sexuality in videos and photo shoots may also be partly to blame for music’s #MeToo claims not being taken as seriously as ones set on Hollywood casting couches.
That’s why Kesha and Taylor Swift deserve all the props we can give them. When the former “Tik Tok” party girl alleged that producer Dr. Luke had sexually assaulted her and Swift complained that radio DJ David Mueller groped her while they posed for a photo during her 2013 visit...

Finally, Taylor Swift and her family can breathe a sigh of relief as Frank Andrew Hoover — the man who threatened to murder them — just received a 10-year probation sentence. He was arrested in November 2016 after violating a restraining order Taylor had against him after he allegedly followed her to the airport after her concert at the Formula 1 race one month before. And Taylor isn't the only victim here. According to court documents, Hoover sent several emails to the songstress' father from August 2016 to Oct. 27, 2016, and reportedly said they were an "evil family of devils" who should "enjoy the brain aneurysms and death." He also allegedly explained that he "decided that we are going to end all the Swifts on one day because I can't stand that virus s--t your daughter spread." (Photo Credit: Getty Images) TMZ reported that in addition to Hoover's probation, he must also stay at least a...

Taylor Swift has returned — to social media, at least.
Three days after going dark on social media, the popstar reopened her accounts Monday morning, though the purpose remains murky thus far.
Swift shared a mysterious 10-second video on her social media accounts at 11 a.m. — her first post since her accounts were scrubbed on Friday. The distorted, silent clip appears to depict a snake tail (though some social media users also compared the image to a cat or dragon tail). Swift presented the footage without any caption. A second, longer clip — with another piece of the tail — went up at 11 a.

Taylor Swift has officially gone dark, you guys. On Friday, the singer took "blank space" to a whole new level when she wiped her social media accounts completely clean just a few days after winning her groping trial against DJ David Mueller. No, seriously. Her Tumblr is bare, her latest tweets are from 2009, her Facebook no longer has a profile picture, and every single picture on her Instagram (even those glorious Fourth of July snaps) is completely gone. And to top it all off, her official website is now just a black screen. Needless to say, fans are completely losing it over the whole ordeal. Is she getting ready to release new music? Or is she officially retiring? We have no idea, but we can only assume something big is about to happen.

Taylor Swift’s social media accounts and websites were wiped clean on Friday morning, leaving fans in a frenzy and wondering whether the 27-year-old star had been hacked, or is on the verge of dropping a new album.
The “Blank Space” singer — or someone with access to her account — appears to have unfollowed all her followers online, deleted all posts on her Instagram and Tumblr pages, and stripped all content from her website.
Her avatar photo was removed from all her social sites as well — including her Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter pages, where a few of Swift’s posts remained as of early afternoon.

Taylor Swift is putting her money where her mouth is. After emerging victorious in a trial over whether radio DJ David Mueller groped her rear-end during a 2013 meet-and-greet at Pepsi Center in Denver, the “Shake It Off” singer has made an “extremely generous” donation to “Law & Order: Svu” star Mariska Hargitay’s Joyful Heart Donation, an organization dedicated to tackling the issue of sexual assault. The foundation’s CEO, Maile M. Zambuto, told the Huffington Post that Swift is making an “extremely generous financial investment in the movement to end sexual violence,” which will benefit the foundation’s healing program’s educational work.

Taylor Swift is already making good on her promise to help support sexual assault victims after winning her groping trial against DJ David Mueller. According to E! News, the singer gave an undisclosed but "generous" amount of money to fellow sexual activist and close friend Mariska Hargitay's Joyful Heart Foundation, which seeks to "heal, educate, and advocate" sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse survivors. "Joyful Heart is honored to be recognized by Taylor Swift for our work on behalf of and in service to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse," a spokesperson for the charity said. Shortly after the donation, Mariska posted a sweet message to Taylor on social media writing, "For sharing your story, your resources, your time, your voice: @taylorswift13 you are a force. #grateful for you." The friendship between the two ladies actually goes pretty far back. Not only did the actress...

When the word "victory" comes to mind, so do celebrations and tears of joy.
In the case of Taylor Swift's legal victory over former radio DJ David Mueller in Denver, Colorado, on Monday, the win wasn't quite so sweet. Even as Swift and her mother, Andrea, dissolved into tears in the courtroom, only they can say whether it was the product of grief, joy, relief, release or something in between.
The heart-wrenching moment was four years in the making, stemming from a 2013 meet-and-greet gone awry. On Monday, a silent, stone-faced Mueller was found liable of assault and battery on the then-23-year-old pop star. Her reward: $1 and vindication.
In the week since I began covering this trial, I've heard a lot of water cooler opinions from friends, acquaintances and strangers. Much of that commentary was positive, from praising Swift for her setting an example, to finding humor in her decision to sue for one measly dollar...

Jeff Kandyba has been sketching in Colorado courtrooms since the 1980s. But after over three decades on the job witnessing some of Denver’s most high-profile cases, Kandyba’s work has finally been given national attention thanks to Taylor Swift.
The pop star has spent last week in a Denver courtroom facing former radio deejay David Mueller, who was found guilty on Monday of assault and battery against Swift for groping her at a meet-and-greet photo session in June 2013.
Since electronic devices including cameras were not allowed in the courtroom, the closest anyone had to seeing Swift in the trial was through Kandyba’s work.

Less than 24 hours after a jury determined David Mueller had assaulted and battered Taylor Swift, he maintains that he never grabbed her and can take a polygraph test to prove it. In his first television interview since the six-day trial concluded on Monday evening, the former Colorado DJ sat down with Good Morning America's Clayton Sandell to defend himself. After four hours of deliberation on Monday, an eight-member jury comprised of six women and two men unanimously decided Mueller did assault and batter the pop star in 2013 during a meet-and-greet. At the time, he and his then-girlfriend Shannon Melcher posed for a photo with the star, during which Swift said the...
