Gilles Marini stars with Brooke D'Orsay in Crimes of Fashion: Killer Clutch, a delightful movie filmed on location in France that uses location and fashion as key characters.
Marini is Ok with that, as the Frenchman who came to America to act was thrilled to be whisked back to his home country to do what he loves.
This is Marini's first time with Hallmark, but it certainly won't be his last. If ever there was a leading man who fit beautifully into the Hallmark world, Marini is that man.
The movie focuses on D'Orsay's Lauren, a leading psychologist who lands a dream job as a performance coach at the Parisian-based House of Trésor, a coveted fashion brand run by Virgil St. James- a famous fashion designer.
With the help of her calming techniques, Virgil’s Paris Fashion Week show is a success, but the applause of the audience is interrupted by screams when Charlotte,...

Walton Goggins Talks About His Character, The Ghoul, In Fallout Series
During a press conference covered by Gizmodo, actor Walton Goggins teased more information about his mysterious character in the upcoming series.
“The Ghoul is, in some ways, the poet Virgil in Dante’s Inferno. He’s the guide, if you will, through this irradiated hellscape that we find ourselves in in this post-apocalyptic world. He is a bounty hunter… he is pragmatic, he is ruthless, he has his own set of moral codes,...

Prime Video’s official trailer for Fallout, based on the wildly popular video game series, opens with a dapper-looking Walton Goggins promoting nuclear fallout shelters known as Vaults. However, Goggins loses his spiffy attire as the trailer continues, transforming into The Ghoul in what’s become a post-apocalyptic hellscape known as the Wasteland.
The trailer also provides an extended look at Lucy, a naïve Vault Dweller who’s shocked to discover people are living outside of the safety of shelters, and Maximus, a member of the Brotherhood of Steel. There’s plenty of action, comedy, and chaos in the trailer, capped off by a wink at the end.
Prime Video hosted a press conference prior to the trailer’s online debut with series stars Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets) and Aaron Moten (Emancipation). They were joined executive producers/showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, executive producer/director Jonathan Nolan, and executive producer...

This article contains spoilers for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live episode 1.
The first episode of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live ends with the moment that The Walking Dead fans have long been waiting for.
After Rick Grimes’ (Andrew Lincoln) helicopter is shot out of the sky, he battles his attackers on the ground only to be bested by a superior foe. Said foe removes Rick’s Crm-issued helmet only to be taken aback by what they see. That’s because Rick’s would-be killer is none other than his wife Michonne (Danai Gurira). For the first time since Rick exited the flagship series in 2018, two of The Walking Dead‘s most important characters are finally back together.
Thanks to the time-hopping events of The Ones Who Live‘s premiere, we know the circuitous path that Rick took to get to this encounter. It all involved: surviving a bridge explosion,...

A$AP Rocky took to the stage of the famed Apollo Theater on Tuesday, where he accepted an award during the 2023 edition of the annual Harlem’s Fashion Row event, coinciding with New York Fashion Week.
The rapper was honoured with the Virgil Abloh Award during the organization’s annual Fashion Show & Style Awards, in honour of the acclaimed fashion designer, who died in 2021 after a battle with cancer.
“For y’all who don’t know, Virgil discovered us, A$AP, as a bunch of kids before I got my record deal or any of that.”
Addressing the audience, A$AP Rocky admitted that he hadn’t prepared a speech, as he preferred his remarks “come from the heart,” much like a freestyle rap.

Paul Schrader’s Hardcore is one of the writer-director’s most unabashedly autobiographical films. The opening montage of winter in Grand Rapids, Michigan, contains shots of the street where he grew up, his family members, and places he worked. Schrader has also mentioned in interviews that George S. Scott’s Calvinist furniture manufacturer, Jake Van Dorn, is an equivocal portrait of his father.
That entire sequence is shot through with ambivalence. The Van Dorn clan is depicted with warmth and hominess, but there are cracks evident in the facade: the disapproving comments about modern media; the passive-aggressive way in which the emotionally distant Jake talks down to a female employee; and the absence of a presiding maternal figure.
When his daughter, Kristen (Ilah Davis), inexplicably goes missing on a church trip to California, Jake is determined to track her down with the help of Andy Mast (Peter Boyle), a morally...

Deal or No Deal: Castellitto Distracted by Design in Drug Pusher Drama
Director Pietro Castellitto embarks on a familial affair with sophomore film Enea, in which he stars as the lead alongside his real life father, actor/director Sergio Castellitto as members of a wealthy Italian family who become involved in a drug money feud. Taking slight inspiration from Virgil’s Aeneid, a young man nearing thirty finds his aimlessness interrupted when a novel opportunity lands in his lap to sell twenty kilos of cocaine for a local king pin.
Despite being an inviting screen presence, Castellitto can’t quite decide on a cohesive approach to the material, introducing shards of themes and characters about intergenerational differences and the suffocating ennui of the present all chaotically introduced before the narrative finally starts to take shape.…...

Harlan County, USA
Filmmakers loves an underdog and movies have a long tradition of supporting the rights of workers, dating all the way back to the silent era. Here are some classic movies that celebrate workers’ right to strike for better wages and safer working conditions and the sometimes unlikely allies they find along the way. Many are based on true stories, including John Sayles’ masterful “Matewan,” about a coal miner strike in West Virginia, as well as Barbara Kopple’s Oscar-winning documentary, “Harlan County, USA.”

“Newsies” (1992)
“Headlines don’t sell papes, Newsies sell papes!” In this exuberant and pro-worker musical, Christian Bale’s Jack Kelly leads a group of newsboys in a strike against penny-pinching newspaper owner Joseph Pulitzer. They’re aided by Bill Pullman’s kindly, reform-minded journalist and, of course, Teddy Roosevelt, who was then governor of New York.

There are tons of low-budget indie thrillers out there that deal with strong philosophical concepts in an inventive way and surprise audiences through their craft despite being bogged down by their limitations. Although director Michael Winnick’s lackluster track record didn’t leave much to expect from his latest thriller venture, Disquiet started with a proper atmospheric, imaginative buildup, but having a poor script, glaringly bad performances, and a clichéd narrative structure left a bitter taste, proving it doesn’t belong among those aforementioned ambitious ventures. Exploring the psychological turbulence of a person in jeopardy, Disquiet questions the legitimacy of reality and fiction in a surreal manner but falls short in execution and ends up as a bad adaptation of much superior supernatural thrillers that have aired throughout the past decade on the small screen.
