Joe Guido was born and raised in Kingston, New York, and attended
college at SUNY New Paltz, where he obtained a BA in Fine Arts. After
graduation, he moved to Huntington Beach, California, and began taking
enrichment courses and exploring job opportunities in his field. He was
soon hired to design and illustrate a training manual for Simon Malls,
which was used to entertain employees working in the common areas. From
there, he was commissioned for several digital colorings, and elevation
illustrations for an architecture film; but it wasn't until he met
Victor Phan that he began working on his true passion: Sequential art.
Guido's love for graphic novels and film soon came together when he was
commissioned by Victor to adapt "The Perfect Girl" into a comic book.
After only a year in California, Joe relocated again to Albany, New York, where he currently resides. His working relationship with Victor Phan has continued, as he designs and illustrates promotional spots, story boards and posters for Torture Chamber Productions. His work recently earned him a promotion to Assistant Art Director for Torture Chamber Productions. Joe also holds a position providing Graphic Design for a marketing company near his home, and, when time allows, he collaborates with his girlfriend to freelance in print design.
