- [When asked "Why do you study music and perform?"] I study music because you don't need words to understand what is being said. It's something so intensely visceral that music can pull someone who is so inconsolably past the point of comprehending others back from the edge. Music has saved my life and if I have even a glimmer of a chance to do that for someone else, it would be a crime not to.
- The day I stop being able to laugh and appreciate simplicity is the day that I need to stop and reevaluate what I'm doing with my life.
