Earlier this week, we lost one of the world's great sources of laughter, joy, and creative wonder with the passing of Gene Wilder. While Wilder and his endearing benevolence will be sorely missed, his comedic genius will live on through his work, including 1986's Haunted Honeymoon, which will now be released on Blu-ray by Kino Lorber a bit sooner than originally expected.
Blu-ray.com reports that Kino Lorber will release their Haunted Honeymoon Blu-ray on September 6th, bumping it up from its initially scheduled September 27th debut.
Wilder co-wrote, directed, and starred in Haunted Honeymoon alongside his wife, the late, great Gilda Radner. According to Amazon, the special features for the Blu-ray will include trailers, and you can view the cover art and synopsis below.

In the decades since its premiere, The French Lieutenant’s Woman is now most commonly discussed for its placement in the extensive awards resume of its star Meryl Streep, since it was her follow-up to her Best Supporting Actress win for 1979’s Kramer vs. Kramer and would serve as netting her first nomination in a leading category (it’s also interesting to note Streep won the Golden Globe but ultimately, perhaps ironically, lost to Katharine Hepburn, the iconic performer who previously held the most nominations record). But at the time of its release, the final product was the result of a decade long ordeal, seeing many auteurs, actors, and screenwriters attempting to adapt the notoriously ‘unfilmable’ 1969 novel by John Fowles, an experiment in form termed “post-modern historical fiction.” Directed by Karel Reisz, the Czech-born British auteur a British New Wave progenitor of the realist strain of filmmaking, it remains one of his most prolific works.

Even this far into its lifespan, Game Of Thrones is still brave, bold, gutsy television that has taken the fantasy genre to new audiences...
This review contains spoilers.
5.5 Kill The Boy
There comes a moment in every episode of Game Of Thrones where I inevitably groan angrily at the television. That's when the episode goes to black and ends for the week. However, this week's episode of Game Of Thrones had a little fun with that black-out convention and used it to create a little narrative tension while still making me yell at the television over a potential cliff-hanger yet again.
Last week's cliff-hangers are resolved pretty quickly. Left bloody in an alley, Grey Worm and Barristan Selmy's fates are quickly sorted out this week by Bryan Cogman's script. Grey Worm lies in a sick bed, being tended to by Missandei, and Ser Barristan The Bold lies on a funeral bier,...
