There's quite a few people out there who still have unfinished business with Joe Goldberg, and one of them is Ellie from season two of "You." On June 17, Netflix released an early teaser video for "You" season five during the streamer's annual Tudum fan event in Brazil. In the video, Penn Badgley hints the show's final season could feature some surprising guest stars - and one of them might just be Jenna Ortega of "Wednesday" fame.
"Hola, Brazil!" Badgley says at the start of the video. "I've heard you're on the edge of your seats waiting and theorizing about the epic conclusion to 'You.' More importantly, you're considering what, or should I say who, Joe will come up against as he finally returns to New York. Though I can't say who just yet, we all know there are many loose ends from Joe's past. The question is, 'Who are you?...

Penn Badgley promises at least some of the many loose ends from Joe’s past will be tied up with You‘s much-anticipated fifth and final season. Netflix unveiled a short teaser during the Tudum Global Fan Event that included some of those loose ends – season one’s Dr. Nicky (John Stamos), season two’s Ellie (Jenna Ortega), and season three’s The Conrads (Shalita Grant and Travis Van Winkle) – but didn’t reveal exactly which of Joe’s victims will show up in the final season.
“We’re proud to see how You has captivated audiences around the world, becoming an instant sensation on Netflix with a resounding cultural impact that has grown season over season,” said Peter Friedlander, Vice President of Scripted Series, Netflix, US and Canada. “We’re excited — and a bit terrified — to see how it all ends for Joe Goldberg, but one thing is for...

Netflix dropped a 40-second teaser video during its Tudum fan event in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Saturday, where Penn Badgley hinted that familiar faces from Joe’s past will return to wreak havoc on his life.
“You’re considering what, or should I say who Joe will come up against as he finally returns to New York. This article contains spoilers for "You" on Netflix. Netflix's "You" is a show that's full of dynamic, complicated women, but few characters from past seasons remain on fans' minds quite like Ellie Alves (Jenna Ortega). While sick-but-charming serial killer Joe (Penn Badgley) has a knack for killing all the women he loves most, Ellie is one of the few girls he's crossed paths with who survived their encounter in one piece — though not entirely unscathed.
The last time audiences saw Ellie, the brutally honest teen who lived next door to Joe in Los Angeles, Joe was sending her away with a vague but firm assertion that her older sister Delilah (Carmela Zumbado) wouldn't be coming home. Fans haven't seen so much as a sign of Ellie since, and Ortega's career has exploded with roles in films like "X" and "Scream" and the eponymous role in Netflix's smash hit show "Wednesday.

Jenna Ortega may be ready to outrun Ghostface again this year, but Joe Goldberg still hasn’t forgotten about her.
After Ortega starred as Ellie Alves in “You” Season 2, showrunner Sera Gamble revealed the hit series was hoping to bring the character back for Season 4. Ellie was among the few of Joe Goldberg’s (Penn Badgley) confidantes to survive his friendship, and she is referenced in Season 3 as someone Joe still stays in contact with and sends money to.
However, Ortega leading fellow Netflix series “Wednesday” had some scheduling conflicts.
“We wanted to bring Ellie back and we heard, ‘Oh, Jenna is doing some show,'” Gamble told IndieWire. “It’s been just such a pleasure to see Jenna this year. We have ideas for Ellie if her schedule allows her to visit us again.”

It takes special skill for an actor to make audiences welcome a murderous stalker back to TV.
Sera Gamble’s “You” returns to Netflix for a fourth season that throws Penn Badgley’s remarkable character into new relationships and complications. The five-episode Part 1 is streaming now, with Part 2 due March 9. Not for the first time, “You” reinvents itself with setting, genre, and cast, Badgley’s surly antihero the sole constant holding everything together. It’s rare that a show can reinvent itself so well and often — “You” is all but anthology at this point — but Badgley makes it look easy. After years as the irascible Joe Goldberg, he knows exactly how to react to every twist and guide the audience with his eyes, body language, and menacing voiceover.
Season 4 finds Joe on a coveted “European holiday” (mostly in the since-divested United Kingdom), in search of his true love Marienne (Tati Gabrielle), who fled the U.

"You" season three hit Netflix in October 2021 and whew, we were not ready for all the twists and turns it threw at us. While the shocking finale seemed to be the end of Joe Goldberg's (Penn Badgley) story, season four, which premieres on Feb. 9, only marks the beginning of his next chapter under his new alias: Professor Jonathan Moore.
If you remember how "You" season three concluded, you know we probably won't be seeing Love (Victoria Pedretti) ever again - but there's a good chance some of the other characters may return, like Tati Gabrielle's Marienne, aka Joe's latest love. But before we get too ahead of ourselves, let's revisit all the wild events from "You"'s season three finale before the show returns.

Watch out, Archie Andrews: A fresh thorn in your side is coming soon to Riverdale.
The CW drama has cast Chris O’Shea (You, Madam Secretary) in a major recurring role, our sister site Deadline reports. He’ll play Percival Pickens, the charming descendant of one of Riverdale’s founding fathers, General Pickens. “Percival wants to turn Riverdale into a ‘utopia,’ a dark agenda he pursues quietly but ruthlessly,” according to the official description — an agenda that brings him into direct conflict with Archie.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched the third season of “You,” currently streaming on Netflix.
When Shalita Grant woke up on Oct. 15, she immediately opened Twitter. The Tony-award nominee couldn’t wait to see what fans thought of her portrayal of Sherry Conrad — the influencer queen bee of Madre Linda — on the Netflix series. Even though it was only 7 a.m. on the morning of the season 3 premiere, the responses were just as hilariously vicious as she’d hoped they’d be.
“You can feel the hatred in the tweets,” Grant tells Variety over the phone, recounting her initial scroll through the viewer’s comments.
“The first tweets are like ‘Oh my god…kill her. She needs to be fired,’” Grant recalls. “And now that people have finished the season, they’re like, ‘Oh my god, I love Sherry, she’s hilarious.’”

If you've watched season three of Netflix's You, then you know that Love and Joe are not the soulmates they thought they were. In fact, it's probably more accurate to say that they loathe each other. As the show progresses, it's clear that Joe (Penn Badgley) can't stand Love (Victoria Pedretti) and she thinks he's a lazy father. The same can't be said for all couples in the series though. If we had to rank all the pairings from seasons one to three, Cary (Travis Van Winkle) and Sherry Conrad (Shalita Grant) are easily in the top spot. They said so themselves when they spoke to E! News, with Shalita proudly proclaiming, "Definitely we are the best. King and...

It would be easy to say that Joe Goldberg has changed by the time “You” Season 3 starts. When last the show left him, he was on the verge of being both a husband and a father, reeling from the reveal that Love Quinn, the object of his affection (and manipulation), is almost as homicidally prolific as he is.
When Season 3 opens on the fledgling family, transplanted from LA to the fictional Bay Area suburb of Madre Linda, Joe (Penn Badgley) sees his new surroundings as a threat. He feels inadequate at his new parental responsibilities and still can’t shake the fact that Love wasn’t the romantic cure-all he had fashioned in his mind. Before long, Love (Victoria Pedretti) is sharing in the life-upheaval misery. Both of them have been chasing a warped, idealized conception of partnership; now that the two have each gotten as close to it as they’ll get,...

Joe and Love are in for another thrilling ride.
Netflix dropped the official trailer for You Season 3, and it looks like another twist-filled affair.
We get to see Joe telling his baby son that he's changed him, which can mean a lot of different things.
We also get to see Joe stalking another woman, which does not sit well with Love.
The pair bicker like it's going out of fashion before conceding that they should go to therapy.
Always a show to throw in some satire, the therapist tells the pair of them that they are not capable of murder.
Yeah, tell that to the bodies starting to pile up.
The trip to the suburbs was supposed to be a new start for this couple, but somewhere along the way, they've realized the relationship is no longer working.

If there’s one thing more terrifying than Penn Badgley’s Joe in “You,” it’s the potential for a mini-Joe. And that’s exactly what he seems to be worried about in a new teaser for Season 3 of the Netflix hit.
“A boy is not what we expected, and I would be lying if I said the thought of a mini-me was purely exciting, and not without challenges,” Badgley’s creepy voice narrates. “Let’s just say I’m hoping you’ll do as I say, not as I do.”
Of course, fatherhood tends to put one’s priorities in order and for Joe, baby Henry — a name he’s meticulously chosen for very complicated reasons — may just put him on a better path. “For you, I can change,” he says. “I’ll be a man you look up to. A man you will be proud to call dad.

One of TV's most twisted love stories continues this October.
Netflix announced on Monday that You Season 3 will (finally!) receive its premiere on October 15.
"In Season 3, Joe and Love, now married and raising their baby, have moved to the balmy Northern California enclave of Madre Linda, where they’re surrounded by privileged tech entrepreneurs, judgmental mommy bloggers and Insta-famous biohackers," reads the official logline.
"Joe is committed to his new role as a husband and dad, but fears Love’s lethal impulsiveness."
"And then there’s his heart. Could the woman he’s been searching for all this time live right next door? Breaking out of a cage in a basement is one thing," it continues.Â
"But the prison of a picture-perfect marriage to a woman who’s wise to your tricks? Well, that’ll prove a much more complicated escape."

“Buck wild” is how actress Shalita Grant says she works. The Julliard School alumnus and past Tony Award nominee reveals in her exclusive interview with Gold Derby about recurring on “Search Party” (watch the video above), “I never know my lines. I don’t learn them. I don’t learn them the night before; I don’t learn them the morning of. The wait for You Season 3 has been long, but it might be worth the wait.
Production on the latest season of the Netflix hit wrapped Sunday, April 24, and showrunner, Sera Gamble, took to Twitter to speak about the "bonkers' twists in store while also revealing the shoot was Covid-free.
"Obviously there is also an element of sheer good luck in this statistic. It's impossible to totally negate risk in a pandemic," she continued.
"I feel privileged to have gotten to witness everyone's creativity, resilience and kindness."
"I mean, I knew our team was tough and good at their jobs, but holy shit did everyone show up for each other. All the way up the Warner's/Netflix ladder and in every production department," Gamble continued, before noting that the performances from the cast are "insanely good."

You Season 3 has found Joe's latest obsession.
Per Deadline, Michaela McManus has boarded the third season of the Netflix hit in the role of Natalie, Joe's married neighbor.
If you watch You online, you know Joe set Natalie as his next obsession at the close of You Season 2.
Natalie is professionally and socially successful (which seems to be the norm on this series!), but Joe knows there is more to her than meets the eye, and that explains his decision to pursue her.
Joe has always been intrigued by women who are not who they appear to be. Case in point: Love Quinn, who later emerged as a merciless killer, much like Joe.
But Joe is bonded with Love in that they both created a baby, and thus, have moved to a suburban neighborhood.
Saffron Burrows, who plays Love's mother, has been upped to a series regular ahead of the third season.
