Back in 2013 I reviewed Found, directed by Scott Schirmer, after catching it at the 2013 Shriekfest film festival. Found, a dark, smart psychological horror film set in the 1980's, was by far my favorite film at the festival that year, and is truly one of my favorite horror films from this century. One of the highlights of Found was a film within the film called Headless. Headless, as featured in Found, is an unbelievably gory slasher from 1978 that inspires the real life murders in the film. Shortly after Found became the indie hit it deserved to be, Arthur Cullipher, the special effects director and a producer on Found, announced that he was following up the film with a feature length version of Headless.
Headless, the feature film version starring Shane Beasley, Kelsey Carlisle, Ellie Church and Dave Parker, is kind of a strange vehicle to follow up Found with.

Marty is the ideal fifth grader. He gets good grades, listens to his teachers, and doesn’t start trouble in class. But darkness is beginning to fall over Marty’s life. The kids at school won’t stop picking on him, his parents just don’t seem to understand him, and now Marty must grapple with a terrible secret that threatens to destroy life as he knows it – his big brother is a serial killer! Brotherly love is put to the ultimate test in this emotional coming-of-age story that descends into full-blown horror.
I have been dying to see Found for over a year now and I can honestly say it was worth the wait. I do wish I could have seen it first on the big screen instead of screening it on my computer, but I just couldn't wait any longer. First of all I'd...

I met Arthur Cullipher in Louisville, Kentucky at the Fright Night Film Fest this summer and have made a friend for life. One of the funniest and nicest guys you'd ever want to meet and he is talented too! He and his Clockwerk Pictures team have created one of the darkest and disturbing short films I've ever witnessed with 'Come', think Lovecraft and R-rated Twilight Zone episode mixed with a little Outer Limits, all on acid and then stuck in a blender, I haven't been lucky enough to witness more from him but I'm sure that day is coming. Arthur is a part of Clockwerk Pictures and even the Dark Carnival Film Fest. He's an FX artist, he writes, directs, produces, even makes action figures and can make you laugh in a second! Check out my latest "Versus" with Arthur Cullipher as he's invited all of us for...
