For those who like head-on, immersive emotional experiences at the movies, The Sky Is Pink may be a direct hit. It makes a lot more demands on the heartstrings than the first film from writer-director Shonali Bose, her moving but more moderate 2014 Netpac-winner, Margarita With a Straw, about a sexually alive girl with disabilities. Here Bose and Nilesh Maniyar’s screenplay is closely based on the true story of Aisha Chaudhary, a teenager with pulmonary fibrosis whose loving parents dedicated their lives to helping her survive; in fact, the end credits roll over painfully cheery photos of the Chaudhary family.

With the release of films like Queen, Mardaani, Mary Kom and others, a lot of women-centric films with great content have been made and have fared well. But Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin, who was last seen in Margarita With A Straw, feels that men and women are still not considered equal and there is a long way to go.
At an interview when Kalki was asked if men and women are given equal importance now in terms of movies, she said, "I wouldn't go so fast that we are getting equal importance. I would say we are getting more importance than what we used to. But there is still a long way to go. No we are not equal yet. But definitely there are some changes happening. May be my grand-children will live in a world where my grand-girls and grand-boys, hopefully, will be paid the same. I think it will take some time.

There can be nothing better than getting rewarded with awards for the hard work and efforts you put in for your role in the Bollywood films. But Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin says that she doesn't believe in expecting awards
Ask her if she is keeping any expectation for an award for her role in Margarita With A Straw and she says, "I don't believe in expecting awards. I mean you can't sit there thinking will I get an award, you got to carry on with work. My life continues and I have to keep working, tomorrow I go to shoot, so life goes on. I don't think you can be sitting there waiting for awards. Awards are a wonderful bonus, but my real award is work; reward is work."
Further ask her about the National award and she said, "I think National awards are great, it's a great platform for a lot of films.
