Liam Neeson’s career took a turn by the beginning of 2009 after his one film propelled him to the status of an action star. From 2008-2014, Neeson starred in three films in the Taken franchise, where he plays former CIA operative Bryan Mills. However, Neeson has one major regret in the film which made fans fall in love with the film in the first place.

Liam Neeson has been a part of many iconic projects throughout the span of his career. He has played many different characters in a variety of genres, establishing himself as one of the most respected and talented actors in the film industry. Despite all of its success, he cannot seem to outrun one of his most iconic works to date.

Revenge flicks are nothing new on the market, and while we’ve always had them, there was a proper little boom of such movies after the success of Liam Neeson’s Taken. Now, many have tried, some have failed, some have succeeded in making a good revenge flick, and while we don’t know if the movie we are reporting about is going to succeed or fail, it is certainly going to be one of the most original takes on the genre. Namely, legendary Oscar-nominee June Squibb (94) is probably the last name you’d think of when searching for a revenge flick star, but this year’s upcoming movie Thelma is going to deliver just that. The movie has just released its first trailer and you will be able to check it out below.

Remember how Liam Neeson, at one point in his career, decided he would play only action heroes and how most of his recent characters were basically Bryan Mills from Taken in a different context? Well, it seems that another acting legend has chosen the same path, as Oscar-winner Russell Crowe is once again going to play an exorcist in the upcoming movie The Exorcism, which is set to be released on June 7, 2024. Now, the first official trailer for the movie has been released and we are going to show it to you below.
Now, our introduction was – in case you do not know – like this because Russel Crowe starred as an exorcist in the 2023 movie The Pope’s Exorcist, which – believe it or not – has absolutely no connection to The Exorcism. It seems that Crowe liked the previous role so he decided to reprise it but in a completely unrelated movie.

Pierre Morrel's 2008 film "Taken" is brazenly morally irresponsible.
"Taken" was not so much a thriller as an indulgent "dad fantasy," rooted in xenophobia and male sexual hysterics. The lead character, Bryan Mills, played by a wholly devoted and utterly capable Liam Neeson, was a divorced dad of a teenage girl named Kim (Maggie Grace) who saw his clout as a parent disappearing into the wealthy black hole of a cold-shouldered ex-wife (Famke Janssen) and her attentive new husband (Xander Berkeley). Bryan is a former CIA agent, and his job kept him away from home enough to damage his marriage. When Kim announces that she and a friend are going on an international holiday together, Bryan warns her that such an excursion is dangerous; kidnappers, he knows, often target traveling American teenage girls and sell them into sexual slavery. It sounds paranoid and everyone dismisses him.
Perhaps predictably, Kim is almost...

Pierce Brosnan has a very particular set of skills in Vertical’s Fast Charlie trailer, and he’s not afraid to show you how he keeps them sharp. The upcoming thriller from director Phillip Noyce features Brosnan as Charlie Swift, a fixer whose latest victim is missing his head, and it’s up to Charlie to prove the rest of his body belongs to his intended target.
Based on the novel “Gun Monkeys” by Victor Gischler, Fast Charlie has the following synopsis:
Charlie Swift (Pierce Brosnan), aka “Fast Charlie,” is a fixer with a problem: the target he’s whacked is missing his head. Shahid Kapoor has been at the pinnacle ever since Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminey and Haider, where he peaked and entered his second phase as an actor. Representing himself as a serious performer, he has shed his chocolate boy image to become a menacing anti-hero in his recent films and web series. If Kabir Singh was an angry man with a thermometer and a stethoscope, Sumair, in Bloody Daddy, is Kabir Singh wielding knives and guns. The similarity is difficult to miss as you see him shouting and summoning the same rigor in his voice, even though he is placed in a completely different circumstance here. Sumair seems to have the same behavioral traits as Kabir, but when he sees a man forcing himself on a woman, it enrages him. Sumair at least understands consent. Apart from that, he is an incessantly irresponsible father and an alcoholic, and he doesn’t...

2022 has been, yet again, another fantastic year for Dtv (or more accurately “direct to market”) movies. There have been some great films on VOD, streaming (yes I’m including streaming premieres this year too) and on digital so, as per previous years here on Nerdly, I’ve compiled a list of My personal top 10 of the best direct-to-market titles of the year, be they VOD, streaming or digital downloads. The only criteria is that we’ve covered the film here on Nerdly And I’ve seen the film myself. This list takes in all the films that never made it to cinemas with the list in order of release date not preference, with the month of release listed alongside each film. And man was this list Hard to cut down to just ten films… as it is each and every year!

When Luc Besson introduced the world to Bryan Mills, a former government operative with a certain set of skills that could easily take down the men who abducted his daughter Kim, it was a fun exercise that felt fresh and new. By no means was Taken a masterpiece, but it did the job that it set out to do, which is to entertain the hell out the mainstream audience. Surprisingly, the film became a huge hit by making over 200 million worldwide. Taken actually introduced a new style of action hero, an aged veteran, and given how hot the brand

In the beginning, I had my doubts about season 2 of Taken. The show was vastly different from the first season. Most of the old cast was gone. The new premise involved a fancy computer program – much like the new showrunner Greg Plageman‘s former show, Person of Interest. Then, for several episodes, the only connection between the Bryan Mills (Clive Standen ) of season 1 and his character in season 2 was his fighting ability. It seemed as though the growth and insight that was happening via the work with his team and the relationship with his girlfriend had

Back in 2008, Liam Neeson went full ‘beast mode’ playing Bryan Mills in the action thriller Taken. He reinvented himself as a middle-aged father, loving husband, and retired CIA agent with a passion for brutally merking bad guys without hesitation. Ten years later, Neeson’s still in the ass-kicking business, and why not? After all he is one of the founding members of the geri-action genre and clearly age is just a number… And his age is slowly catching up with his on-screen bodycount. But there’s no shame in that, the Irishman’s right-hook is still as strong as ever.
The Commuter is the fourth team-up between Neeson and Spanish director Jaume Collet-Serra, with their second outing being the similarly themed transportation nightmare on a plane Non-Stop (2014). But this time around, the boys are playing with a locomotive train-set in upstate New York, and of course mayhem ensues.
The setup is simple.
