Emma Haarburger is a Melbourne based creative producer and storyteller. Her work has screened internationally at over 80 film festivals, including SXSW, Flickerfest, Fantasia, Fantastic Fest, and many more.
Her 2018 Screen Australia funded short film Drumwave premiered at the Sydney Film Festival and was nominated for a Dendy Award. In 2016, her short film Creswick screened at the Melbourne International Film Festival as part of the Accelerator program.
During her time at Happening Films, Emma developed a slate of projects across web series, online/interactive, and VR. At Fiction Films she produced large-scale commercials while developing her first feature film Drumwave with the support of Screen Australia, which she sold to Carver Films.
In 2018, Emma undertook a six-month Film Victoria Producer Placement at Shoreline Entertainment, and as part of her placement, attended the 2018 Festival de Cannes.
In 2019 Emma worked for TAP across the television series Stateless, Clickbait & The Fires as Tony Ayres' executive assistant.
And in 2021 Emma returned to freelancing to focus on her creative slate under her production company Ardent Entertainment. During this time, she worked as a VFX coordinator at The Post Lounge and as a Location Manager on Of An Age and Location coordinator on Stories From Oz.
In 2022, she worked as a both the Production Manager and Location Manager on the 2nd Unit of Garth Davis' FOE and then joined La Brea (Season 2) as the Directors Assistant for all the DGA guest directors including; Ron Underwood, Dan Liu, Christine Moore, Nick Gonmez, Greg McLean, Tara Miele and many more.
