At this point it almost feels that the gags and memes about the Palin’s have run their course since their time in the spotlight was mercifully short. While some might argue with this and claim that they’re still relevant it awaits to be seen if they really are still in the mix or if they’re on the fringes now just waiting to be thrust back into the spotlight over one matter or another. Willow Palin is the third child and second daughter of the family and hasn’t been free of the controversies that have surrounded the Palin’s for a while

The Palins have never been known for being particularly gay-friendly -- and unfortunately, it seems as if the youngest member of the family is following in the footsteps of his elders.
A newly-released clip from the Lifetime reality series "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp" shows Tripp Palin uttering a homophobic slur when mom Bristol and aunt Willow won't let him visit the swimming pool.
The Palin sisters gasp, and then giggle, when three-year-old Tripp's temper tantrum culminates in the tot calling his aunt a "faggot."
Though Bristol does confess that she's "doing a terrible job disciplining Tripp…I know he's going to continue to push the boundaries," her son's behavior doesn't seem too out of step, given his family's history of anti-gay activity. In 2010, Willow sparked controversy when she fired off at a classmate on Facebook, referring to him "so gay" and "such a faggot."

Bristol Palin's Lifetime reality show is on the move. According to The Futon Critic, "Bristol Palin: Life's A Tripp" has been bumped to 11 p.m. Et. It will be replaced in the Tuesday 10 p.m. timeslot by "Dance Moms" reruns.
"Life's A Tripp" has been a ratings disappointment for Lifetime. The premiere of "Life's A Tripp" attracted 726,000 viewers on June 19. Its lead-in, "Dance Moms," had approximately a million more viewers that night. The next week, only 506,000 viewers watched back-to-back episodes of Palin's reality show, according to The Futon Critic.
The move comes as "Life's A Tripp" is the subject of two lawsuits. Prior to the show's premiere, Lifetime and Palin were slapped with a lawsuit by Stephen Banks, a heckler Palin confronted on camera in the first episode. Banks accused Palin of defamation and claimed that he didn't allow Lifetime to film him.

After a disastrous premiere -- the show scored only 726,000 viewers -- Bristol Palin is going to have to mount a tremendous comeback if she wants to last long with "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp" (Tue., 10 p.m. Et on Lifetime). It's certainly a far cry from the heights the Palin family saw with "Sarah Palin's Alaska," or even Bristol's polarizing turn on "Dancing With the Stars."
Still, those who did tune in have found Bristol keeping it surprisingly real about the challenges of being a young, single mother.
This week, she opened up to her sister Willow about how she wished that Tripp's father Levi Johnston were a part of his life; so long as he would be a positive influence. She shared the heartbreak of hearing her son ask her to buy him a dad.

It's the dream of many young women to move to sunny Los Angeles and stay in a big, beautiful house, but for 21-year-old Bristol Palin -- eldest daughter of 2008 Gop vice-presidential candidate and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin -- there's no place like home.
On Tuesday, June 19, Lifetime premieres "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp," chronicling single mother Palin's sojourn in the City of Angels and her eventual return to her hometown of Wasilla, Alaska, and the warm embrace of her extended family.

Willow was pulled over by the cops in Alaska — and slapped with a big fine!
Looks like there’s a price to pay for life in the fast lane! Willow Palin, 16, was ticketed by the cops for speeding in the family’s black Cadillac Escalade SUV on May 13.
Willow was nabbed driving 84 mph in a 65 mph lane, TMZ reports. She was hit with a $162 fine — we’re hoping she learned her lesson and doesn’t make the same mistake again!
Meanwhile, Willow’s traffic offense is just the latest scandal to rock Sarah Palin‘s household. Earlier this month, Bristol Palin confessed to having jaw-correcting surgery (though experts speculate it was partially for cosmetic reasons as well). And Bristol’s ex, Levi Johnston, is coming out with a tell-all book about the Palin family called Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs — and the just-released cover...

Kathy Griffin is really keeping to her New Year's resolution to "take down" 16-year-old Willow Palin-- or at least to annoy her mom. Griffin visited Lawrence O'Donnell tonight to respond to Sarah Palin calling her a "has-been comedian" and a "bully," among other things. Griffin, of course, is thrilled-- the Palin feud caused her show to sell out so fast she had to schedule an extra two nights of performing.

Another year, another Palin for Kathy Griffin.
Griffin, who joined (and tried to undress) Anderson Cooper for his New Year's Eve special, spent 2010 antagonizing Sarah and Bristol Palin. And now, citing Sarah's 16-year old daughter WIllow Palin's homophobic Facebook slurs, Griffin said its her turn to face criticism.

"She's called people a fa---t on Facebook a couple of times," she said. "You don't throw around the f-word without hearing from me about it."
The words were especially offensive to Griffin, a noted gay rights activist.

I'm a day late with this week's Sarah Palin's Alaska recap because I was off yesterday, but the lapse shouldn't matter to you. Why? 1.) There is no way you actually watch this show. If you do, stop it. 2.) These recaps are better if you don't watch and let me make up what happened. 3.) We have a week left of this mess, and I'm not in the mood to quit now. Sarah's taught me better! So onward! The Aleutian revolution continues! I can see Willow's cold-ass Russian smirk from my house! Mush!
