- Melanie is a car buff, her favorites being classic 1960's and 1970's American muscle cars. In her first film, "The Box", she used a 1968 Chevy Camaro to signify a time jump in the film; her third film "Sangria Lift" was all about the lives that were touched by a stolen car and her fourth film, "Phoenix 454" centers around muscle cars and street racing.
