Kwangsun Hwang is an active and talented composer for Film/TV/commercial/games. He was born in Cheonan city, S.Korea and moved to the U.S when he was 29. He earned a Master's degree in Music Composition from University of Texas at Austin and earned Ph.D. degree in Music Composition from UCLA. While studying with experts in film and concert music composers including Paul Chihara, Ian Krouse, David Lefkowitz, Roger Bourland, Russell Pinkston, Donald Grantham, Yevgeniy Sharlat and more, he expanded his musical knowledge and skills in various way. Kwangsun has worked on Film/TV/Commercial projects for about 10 years including "Road to Utah" (2014) full feature film, "Beyond" (2011): a short film project by film company 'Bad Robot'. In 2009, he worked for famous movie director, Terrence Marlick and his movie, "Tree of Life" (released in 2011). He participated the project as a music assistant. Many other films, he scored for, were awarded in film festivals including LA film festival and Viewster online film festival in Switzerland. He produces all genres of music, Classical, Cinematic, Jazz, Pop, Rock, New age and more. He has been strongly trained by classical music but he used be a drummer of a rock, heavy metal band. Moreover, he has been a leader of various contemporary Christian bands for about 10 years and he composed and arranged a lot of contemporary Christian pop songs.
