Mirjana Van Blaricom is a Los Angeles based Print/Broadcast Journalist, a Film Festival Coordinator, and a Founder of the International Press Academy / Satellite Awards. Producer and Director of the Satellite Awards for 28 years.
Coordinator and Artistic Director of the FEST (Brave New World) Film Festival in Belgrade, Serbia for 15 years. She secured the talent from the United States, which included Robert De Niro, Jack Nicholson, Sissy Spacek, and Francis Ford Coppola, among others.
Van Blaricom was the Executive Director of Film Programming for the United Nations Film Festival, which celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations.
A former member of HFPA, she served two terms as president and co-produced the 50th and 51st Golden Globe Awards. During her tenure she was instrumental in negotiating and signing the deal with NBC to get the Golden Globe Awards on network television.
Working in films and as a correspondent, Van Blaricom simultaneously developed her own cosmetic and fashion line named "Mirjana" that was very successful at the time with three locations in Beverly Hills.
