Born in San Francisco, CA - Ryan Gordon grew up playing instruments at age 3, first starting out on his Grannie's organ. From age 8-18 Ryan was the frontman in a rock band that played shows from San Rafael to San Mateo with the highlight opening the Haight Street Faire in San Francisco. It was at age 11 that Gordon gained his first exposure to studio life when his cousin Benji Farquhar (Taj Mahal's 'Hanapepe Dream') introduced him to Skyline Studio's and iMusicast in Oakland.
Gordon attended The City College of New York, and during that time spent four years as the house bass player every Friday from 8 - midnight for the Arlene Talley (Isley Brothers) show at St. Nick's Pub in Harlem. It was also during this time that Gordon co-wrote and co-produced 'The Manifesto' by Black Rose Noise.
In 2014, Gordon moved to Los Angeles. He has since written and produced for 5 Grammy winners including Maya Azucena, and Dennis Davis. After honing skills composing for short films such as 'Chicken' by Emmy winner Alain Alfaro, Gordon music supervised 'Destined' by Qasim Basir, and received his first full feature film composing job with 'After the Reign' by Geo Santini.
