He's also pre-pre pro-ing his next feature, BAR MITZVAH BOY, which was selected for the Sundance Screenwriters Intensive, the Toronto Inside Out International Film Finance Forum, and received a development grant from Will and Jada Smith's Family Foundation. He also created and hosts the indie series, STONED BREAKUPS, which has screened at fests across the country, and recently developed a half hour animated project with Sony, which is now being developed with the Yes And... Laughter Lab, and just directed an episode of the new season of the acclaimed OutTV series, OPEN TO IT.
His first shorts, ALPHA and BETTAS, have played fests across the country - BETTAS winning Best LGBTQ Short at IFS LA Film Festival, and going on to be distributed by Dekko.
Before coming out as a full blown filmmaker, Ben worked for the producers of DJANGO UNCHAINED, was a talent manager in Miami for telenovela stars and Univision and Telemundo hosts, and a features exec for the Lionsgate-backed, 3Pas Studios.
Ben serves a Filmmaker Mentor for Edward James Olmos' Youth Cinema Project and Advisor for Sundance Collab's screenwriting courses.
