Richard L. Haas III was born in Bristol, Connecticut on September 28,
1993. As a kid, he always new in his heart what he wanted to do with
his life: tell stories. In Elementary School he began to write his
ideas on paper; some fell into the form of short stories and potential
novels, but one in particular was a screenplay which will forever
remain unfinished at about 76 pages. It wasn't a great script-- it was
formatted incorrectly and it featured too many recycled jokes from
other films, television show, and media. What it was, though, was the
first step into his dream to be in the movie business.
In the years that followed, he taught himself how to write screenplays correctly and began writing more and more-- never losing sight of his dreams. In high school he pushed to be recognized. He finally found recognition on his local news station, WFSB Channel 3 Eyewitness News (1990), after entering a commercial contest for the DMV and was officially known as the "film guy" in high school-- even filming/editing the bi-annual Business Plan Competition for two years. It wasn't long until he got into Fairfield University and majored in Film, Television & Media Arts. There, he has managed to establish a reputation for his love and dedication to film, getting closer every day to achieving his dreams.
