Hi! SPG is a short for Simon-Pierre Gingras. Formerly trained as a fashion and portrait photographer, he is an award-winning Cinematographer. Working for the past 10 years in cinema and commercial, he shot the French feature "Game of Death" which won "Best International Movie" at Fantaspoa 2017 (Brazil) and was showcased for its World Premiere at the South by Southwest Festival's "MIDNIGHTER" prestigious section also in 2017. This feature now boasts more than 50 official selections in Festivals across the globe. More recently, he shot famous art house director Micheline Lanctôt latest movie "Une Manière de Vivre" and he just wrapped shooting season 3 on the Canadian Screening Award-wining show "The Canadian Detectives" for CBC. SPG is highly influenced by old films, new films, music, books, fashion, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. In symbiosis with Salvador Dali's famous quote "Pas de chef-d'oeuvre dans la paresse », SPG's cinematographic approach breathes through beauty and sensitivity.
