Bleach does not have many deaths but the ones that do occur will leave you devastated and shrunken to the floor. Tite Kubo began the story with a happy-go-lucky guy who was dragged to the afterworld business, but the plot became serious very soon.
Especially in the Thousand Year Blood War arc, the attack of Yhwach on Soul Society served as a crude reminder that anything can happen. While there was a lot of death and destruction in this arc, one death truly devastated fans.
Kubo Tite sat down for a three-way interview with Taguchi Tomohisa (the animation director and producer of Bleach) and Masakazu Morita (voice actor of Ichigo) to discuss the finer points of Bleach and the deaths that shook the fandom.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is a masterpiece in the making. From the manga that took the longest time to be made to the anime that started airing a decade after the original anime’s end; the series has been through a lot. While criticism of Tite Kubo’s work may not end, praise quickly follows in its path as well.

There may have been ups and downs with regard to the series’ success, pacing, and story; but the final outcome through the Thousand-Year Blood War was one that fans can unanimously agree about. It is a spectacle to watch with a story worth endless compliments. Tite Kubo may not have gotten to finish the series in a way he wanted but Studio Pierrot is trying its level best to do the current arc justice.

On one hand, while a number of animators and staff members from the anime industry have sternly spoken against the use of AI, anime directors Keiichi Hara and Tomohisa Taguchi, who are veterans in their own right, had an entirely different opinion regarding it.
As reported by Full Frontal, both Hara and Taguchi, who were talking at a panel at this year’s Annecy Festival, believed that AI, which doesn’t complain, get tired or sleep, could be a good tool to replace “lazy animators” and do the work in their place.
This opinion has stirred various sections of fandom, who believed that the directors shouldn’t have made such a comment in light of the recent developments.
Hara was talking about the difficulties of making animated feature films, when the topic shifted to lazy animators “who are being paid without putting in the work that’s expected of them.

Stars: Tomorô Taguchi, Shinya Tsukamoto, Nobu Kanaoka, Sujin Kim, Hideaki Tezuka, Tomoo Asada, Iwata, Keinosuke Tomioka | Written and Directed by Shinya Tsukamoto
After kickstarting his career with 1989’s Tetsuo: The Iron Man, writer/director Shinya Tsukamoto returned to the Japanese body horror series 3 years later with Tetsuo II: Body Hammer – an unconnected sequel which takes its own journey regarding a man’s transformation into machine. The opening moments show the camera acting as an unseen character’s perspective, stalking an unnamed salaryman who gets killed after the unseen character holds out his index finger like a gun and fires it.
The story then cuts to Taniguchi Tomoo (Tomorô Taguchi), a married salaryman with a young son named Minori. Adopted as a child, Tomoo questions his unknown past and the reasons for his recurring nightmares. His world is turned upside down when two men kidnap Minori and inject the father with an unknown substance.

Juro Kara is a Japanese avant-garde playwright, theatre director, author, actor, and songwriter. He was at the forefront of the Angura (“underground”) theatre movement in Japan, while as an actor, he cooperated with some of the biggest names of the Japanese movie industry, including Shohei Imamura, Masahiro Shinoda, Shuji Terayama, Toshio Matsumoto and Koji Wakamatsu. As a director, however, he only came up with one title, co-produced by Atg “Sea of Genkai”, an unusual type of yakuza film that focuses intently on the treatment of Korean women in the hands of the Japanese.

The movie begins with a young man causing a ruckus on a high traffic street, until an older man takes him under his wing. The young man is named Taguchi and seems to have no one in his life, which is why he almost immediately becomes...

The 17th season of one of the most iconic shonen anime and manga of all time was one of the most expected titles of the previous season, and thankfully, Studio Pierrot and director Tomohisa Taguchi did not disappoint, making the most out of Tite Kubo's original material, which is actually concluded by the Thousand-Year Blood War arc.

Unlike many of his Japanese filmmaking peers such as Yasujirō Ozu and Masaki Kobayashi, Akira Kurosawa often adapted Western literature in his films. That said, he was always sure to give them a Japanese reframing. He remade "Macbeth," "Hamlet," and "King Lear" as "Throne of Blood," "The Bad Sleep Well," and "Ran," respectively. However, "Throne" and "Ran" traded medieval Scotland/England for Feudal Japan while "The Bad Sleep Well" was about the 20th-century Japanese corporate world, not the Danish monarchy.
While Kurosawa was a student of Shakespeare, he didn't only trade in high-end literature. For "High and Low," he adapted the pulp detective novel "King's Ransom," moving the setting from Manhattan to Yokohama.
National Shoes executive Kingo Gondo (Toshiro Mifune) is disgusted by his colleagues' greed and apathy. He plans a leveraged buyout of the company, putting his life savings on the line. Unfortunately for Gondo, a kidnapper picks the...
