Inés Gowland is an Argentinean filmmaker whose work has screened worldwide, including such festivals as Sundance, SXSW, Clermont-Ferrand, Atlanta, and San Sebastián.
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Inés studied Cinematography at Universidad del Cine before moving to New York to attend NYU Graduate Film Program as a writer/director and where she also became a Graduate Fellow for Cinematography.
As a cinematographer, Inés was selected for the 2019-2020 ASC Vision Mentorship Program and is a member of International Collective of Female Cinematographers. She has also won the Nestor Almendros Award for Cinematography, the First Run Award for Cinematography, the Peter Gould Scholarship and was a finalist for the ARRI Volker Bahnemann Award for Cinematography 2017.
As a writer/director, Inés is the recipient of several awards including the Chris Columbus Film Production Award, the Roger King Finishing Fund, "Best Narrative Short" at the San Diego Latino Film Festival, "Best Student Narrative Short' at RiverRun Film Festival and "Best Short" at the Official Latino Film Festival.
