- He was brought to the US by his Mother at just three months of age while crossing El Rio Rojo and the border on foot. Just after they crossed, they continued to their destination and arrived at the North side of Chicago, between Fullerton and Clark.

- Met his wife Mariana Rodriguez while the two were working at the Washington Mutual Bank as co-workers at the downtown location in Chicago, IL.
- Has fear of holes, which is called trypophobia.
- Is an avid AC/DC fan.
- He has two children from his previous relationship. He's daughter Estephanie & Giovanni Rojas, they reside with their mother.
- He delayed production of STALKERS (2018) for several months when it became difficult with his cast. He refused to recast during the filming, and instead began to cast for Bajo Sus Uñas (2018) as he had written this film first to go into production and to be release in (2017), but he was convinced otherwise by his original director to work on the film STALKERS first even though it was not yet fully written.
It took him two months to finish the ending of the screenplay since he wasn't ready yet for this rapid change, and as soon as he was done and was ready to began filming. His original director had quit and went MIA and forcing him to take over as a Director to avoid delays and recasting.
He claims due to the delays and complications, and because he didn't follow his gut instinct to hold off STALKERS for (2018) he quote: "it was not meant for 2017, and I knew it... but, it'll be ready for 2018 and lesson learned". - Was bullied in school up to 7th grade, as a kid, for not knowing his math, grammar and/or how to fight.
- Known for and his wife Mariana Rodriguez in advocating child abuse.
