Janusz Krupski(1951-2010)
Janusz Krupski (1951-2010) , member of polish democratic opposition,
(1977) co-creator and Chief Editor of "Spotkania" ( An Independent
Scripture of Young Catholics), worked on all 35 issues, printed till
1988. In winter 1983 was kidnapped by communist security service and
severely wounded ( chemical burn). From 1990 till 1992 Chief Editor of
Editions Spotkania. 1993-1995 worked in parliamentary commission to
explore the effects of martial law. Founded his own editorial company
Krupski&Co. From 2000-2006 Vice President of Institute of National
Remembrance. In 2006- 2010 Head of Office for Combatants and Oppressed
People. Died on 10.04.2010 in airplane crash in Smolensk, on the route
to commemorate polish officers murdered in Soviet Union, by NKWD in
1940. His life shows documentary film "Independent - story about Janusz
Krupski"(2012) directors Arkadiusz Golebiewski and Pawel Nowacki.
