- David Bonderoff grew up in Cooperstown, New York, "America's Most Perfect Village" (TripAdvisor). If you have ever visited Cooperstown, you've experienced firsthand its picturesque 1950s feel. David, a product of rural America, displays genuine warmth and small town thoughtfulness. His mother would argue that all thanks ought to go to her affection. David followed his American dream of competing in Division I Athletics and pursued swimming at Stony Brook University. The funding for the pool's renovation fell through, however. Instead of scheduling swim practice, David took on play rehearsal instead. Between semesters at Stony Brook, David studied at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in NYC under Patrick Quagliano and Alice Saltzman. David graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and moved to Brooklyn right after throwing his cap in the air. He signed with Glitter Talent Agency mid-2018. Look out for him on Happy! Season 2 Episode 6 this winter!- IMDb Mini Biography By: David Bonderoff
- David was a Division I Swimmer until the university pool underwent renovations. The team stayed intact, however, and David's dedication led him to become the first captain of a swim team with no pool [probably].
- David was a member of "Swallow This!", a theatrical ensemble consisting of a selective and diverse group of six students. In the group, actors dramatically portray the real-life alcohol and other drug related experiences of SBU students as a way of educating on the consequences of substance misuse, abuse, and dependence. The ensemble covers other topics as well, including depression, sexual assault, and body image.
- David's undergraduate thesis was a staged adaptation of Tina Fey's "Mean Girls." The finished production was a one-man show, where he performed all of the main character's lines and gradually undressed until the main character gave up the facade of fitting in. The juxtaposition of the main character's true self to David's true self was clear with the recitation of the "Mean Girls" text.
- During college, David founded a comedic improv club based on the UCB Training Manual.
- After college, David worked in the Museum of Sex as a Retail Floor Supervisor.
