We are down to the final five teams on The Amazing Race as the competitors hope to out-race the other teams and win the cool one million dollar prize. I have really liked this season so far, but I will admit that I am surprised that a couple of the teams have made it to this point.
Last time, Brooke plotted to convince the other teams to double U-turn the cyclists Kym and Alli because the cyclists like to hang out away from the other teams. Oh, the horror! I don't feel that this rises to the level of deserving a double U-turn, but Brooke obviously really dislikes the other team. Sadly, Tim and Te Jay were the last team to arrive and were eliminated from The Amazing Race. So who will take the lead in this leg? Let's find out!

"I don't want to be here anymore!" cries Amy DeJong during CBS's preview of Friday's all new "The Amazing Race" episode, titled "You're Taking My Tan Off." (Watch the trailer below.) Amy and Maya have 14/5 odds of being eliminated next according to Gold Derby's exclusive racetrack odds, but what does last week's contest leader Chavel Dixon (Couch Potato) think? Gold Derby sat down with Dixon to talk about how he knew Timothy and Te Jay would be eliminated last week, who he thinks is going home next, and who he's predicting to win Season 25. -Break- Psst: Here's how to predict reality TV shows and win bragging rights And prizes! Why did you predict Timothy and Te Jay to be eliminated? I picked them to be eliminated mainly because they came in last on the last leg but were saved by the non-elimination leg. Usually, teams have a hard time coming...

Tim and Te Jay were definitely not in pole position on The Amazing Race. Instead, the college sweethearts were felled by a greased pole, when they attempted the Maltese game gostra to no avail and switched Detours a little too late. "We really thought we could do it," Tim tells TVGuide.com. "During the episode, you see both of us very excited and confident. That's why we kept going." Do they regret not changing sooner? Find out below — and see what Te Jay's mom thinks now that she sees they're not just roommates.

I am finding this season of The Amazing Race very entertaining. I like the personalities of the competitors (for the most part, but someone has to be sort of nasty, right?) as well as the challenges and locations. With six teams left, you can bet that the teams are going full throttle for the remaining legs.
Misti and Jim finished in first place in Sicily (again), followed by Kym and Allison and Maya and Amy. Te Jay and Tim were the last team to reach the mat, but are still in the game as it was a non-elimination leg of The Amazing Race. So who will take the lead this time? Let's find out!

The next episode of "The Amazing Race" is likely to be the end of the road for Timothy and Te Jay according to the latest odds generated by the predictions of Gold Derby users. This temperamental twosome avoided the chop last week only because it was a non-elimination leg. However, even though they have the added burden of a Speed Bump this week, they may not be the best wager for you to make, strategically speaking. -Break- When you make your predictions at Gold Derby you can win prizes (cash, a chance to chat directly with 'Amazing Race' contestants) and earn an honored place atop our official leaderboards of the smartest reality TV prophets. However, to get there you sometimes have to take chances to rack up points. To that end, consider Adam and Bethany as an option to wager on this week. These surfers, who have one...

Happy 300th Leg to "The Amazing Race." No, that doesn't mean this was the 300th episode of "The Amazing Race." By my count, it was only 296, but... Oh, I'm not going to bother trying to figure it out. "The Amazing Race" celebrated this semi-arbitrary milestone in predictable fashion with a Leg that featured a fantastic Roadblock, an interestingly misgauged Detour, some beautiful Sicilian scenery, an opening 20 minutes of filler and... Yup. A Non-Elimination Leg. "Amazing Race" doesn't like to send people home after Legs characterized by altruism and nobody likes to mix a milestone with an elimination. And, as always, you could get a strong sense that an Nel was coming due to the half-hearted editing of the climax and a really, really lame opening 20 minutes. The first segment of tonight's episode was essentially the Bikers making fun of the Dentists, who started with a lead of over 100 minutes. That...

Tonight's episode of "The Amazing Race" is likely to be a non-elimination leg according to the latest odds generated by the predictions of Gold Derby users. However, while it is true that there are at least two such episodes each year (we saw the first one of this season back in week four), this may not be the best wager for you to make, strategically speaking. -Break- When you make your predictions at Gold Derby you can win prizes (cash, a chance to chat directly with 'Amazing Race' contestants) and earn an honored place atop our official leaderboards of the smartest reality TV prophets. These college sweethearts have been flirting with a last place finish for weeks now.

Embargos and NDAs aside, in four or five months, I'll be able to let readers know why it was so amusing to me that "The Amazing Race" spent a second consecutive Leg traveling through Morocco on Friday (October 31) night. That amusement held sway even though Friday's Leg was, as we've almost come to expect from "The Amazing Race" this season, a mixed bag of really good tasks, confusingly confusing tasks and gratuitously complicated tasks. It was a Leg that made me build more appreciation for the teams I already liked, gave a couple unexpected stars the chance to shine, but also failed to generate even an iota of tension or excitement surrounding its result. But I liked the scenery, I liked the Greeter with the chicken on his head and I'm sure that this "Amazing Race" episode set a record for most goat teat close-ups. And, staring down an impressive wall of exhaustion,...

Have you made your predictions yet as to what will happen on this week's episode of "The Amazing Race"? Which of the remaining seven teams will be last to the mat? That is just one of four questions we want you to answer. To help you out, consider our official odds that come from the rankings of other "Race" fans just like you. We have battling mother/daughter Shelley and Nici as the most likely to go at 9 to 2. But are we being too forgiving of the past mistakes made by pro wrestlers Brooke and Robbie? -Break- We have them ranked as the fourth most likely team to be eliminated (with odds of 8/1). But remember, this season has seen its share of surprises already. Just last week, Keith and Whitney finished last, even though our users had them in the same fourth slot as Brooke and Robbie this week. Ahead...

Oh, come on. I'm doing a slew of set visits in Vancouver and I started watching "The Amazing Race" after midnight and within 20 minutes, it was clear that nobody was going home on Friday's (October 17) episode. Nope. You can't make your entire episode into an semi-altruistic showcase, essentially a joint commercial for Ford hybrids and Danish eco-consciousness and then send somebody home. Nope, this was an episode about good feelings for both a country trying to do well by Mother Earth and a company paying "The Amazing Race" to talk about its automotive advancements. But then, to make matters worse, it became clear based on the editing -- and based on a week of very spoilery editing -- that this was the week that Jim's hubris would finally catch up with previously formidable Team Dentist. Actually, it had always been Jim's hubris that ran the risk of cursing the Dentists,...

Tonight's episode of "The Amazing Race" sees teams travel to Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, in the fourth leg of a race around the world. The video preview (watch below) teases that college sweethearts Timothy and Te Jay could be in trouble while the powerhouse team of married dentists Misti and Jim might have to use the Save that they claimed when they won the first leg. It's going to take a while before this feels normal, isn't it? Friday (September 28) marked a new time period premiere for "The Amazing Race," which kicked off its 25th installment far from the Sunday 8 p.m. home in which viewers have become accustomed to football/golf/basketball delays throughout the year. That means that instead of having Sunday come to an abrupt end in the late afternoon as I wait for "The Amazing Race" to start, a normal Friday workday just never ends. So... Yay! Friday's "Amazing Race" premiere had the disadvantage of following a very good "Survivor" launch on Wednesday. I say it every year, but there's just not enough time in a single hour to properly introduce a full assortment of reality show contestants and also deliver satisfactory and fun challenges. So Wednesday's "Survivor" got to be 90 minutes and, perhaps as a result, I finished the premiere with...
