Actor Bill Heck will join the return Broadway engagement of Richard Greenberg’s Take Me Out co-starring Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Jesse Williams.
Heck will take the role of Kippy, played in the revival’s original staging last spring by Patrick J. Adams, who announced in August that he would not be making the October return due to scheduling conflicts with his CBC original series Plan B.
With the exception of Adams (Suits), the entire cast from the spring production will return. In addition to Ferguson and Williams, the rest of the returning cast includes Julian Cihi, Hiram Delgado, Brandon J. Some good news from Broadway: Take Me Out, the well-received revival of Richard Greenberg’s baseball play, has extended its run by two weeks at Second Stage’s Hayes Theater.
The comedy-drama, starring Patrick J. Adams, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Jesse Williams, will now run through Saturday, June 11.
The extension, announced today by producer Second Stage Theater, comes just days after Take Me Out opened to overwhelmingly positive reviews on April 4.
Directed by Scott Ellis, Take Me Out also features cast members Julian Cihi, Hiram Delgado, Brandon J. Dirden, Carl Lundstedt, Ken Marks, Michael Oberholtzer, Eduardo Ramos and Tyler Lansing Weaks.
The play charts the aftermath when a big-time baseball star (Williams) comes out as gay.

As of now, there is a lot of uncertainty around Covid when it comes to Broadway. Within the past couple of months, several shows had to suspend performances due to positive cases in their casts, some others had to close permanently, and a couple more are taking hiatuses. The American Theatre Wing also hasn’t announced key dates for this year’s Tony Awards yet.
With that being said, we are now about halfway through the Broadway season, and there are currently 11 productions of plays set to open this spring. Could we be seeing any of them contend at this year’s Tonys? Below is an overview of each play as well as the awards histories of their authors, cast, and directors, plus the opening and (where applicable) closing dates.

While I enjoyed the first season of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, it seems there are a lot of people that don’t like the show. I guess I can see why some people don’t like it, but I personally just really like how these two characters have been handled in the show. It’s solid character development.
It’s all good, though, the show isn’t for everybody, but for those of you who have been enjoying it, Freeform has released a full trailer for you to watch! It shows us that Tyrone and Tandy will be teaming up to save the world. This one specifically deals with sex trafficking. Then there’s the anti-hero Mayhem who doesn’t have any problems killing people to save others.

I’m a fan of the first season of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger and I’m looking forward to seeing how the story of these two characters continues in the upcoming second season. If you haven’t watched Season 1 yet, you should check it out, I think most of you might dig it.
The new promo teases the arrival of the anti-hero Mayhem. Detective O'Reilly (Emma Lahana) was transformed into Mayhem after being killed and then revived by darkforce matter in the season 1 finale.
Here’s the synopsis for Season 2:
Season 2 turns the heat up on our young heroes, as Tyrone and Tandy try to find their place as more active heroes in this world. As they learn and grow emotionally, so will their skills. In Season 1, we saw Tandy and Ty dip their toes into the world of hopes and fears; this season, they will dive deeper into this metaphysical pool.

We've already dubbed Freeform's newest series, Cloak & Dagger, as Marvel's superhero Romeo and Juliet, and after watching the premiere episode, it's easy to see why. Tyrone, aka Cloak, played by 20-year-old Aubrey Joseph, and Tandy, aka Dagger, played by Disney Channel's Olivia Holt, have enough chemistry on screen to spark a house fire. As if that weren't enough, it looks like the show will follow the comics closely and give the two superheroes a love story built for the ages!
To bring any newcomers up to speed, in the first episode, Tyrone and Tandy meet as children after tragic events bring them together fighting for their survival underwater. It is here where they both get exposed to a yet-to-be-explained substance that gives them their powers. This storyline deviates from the comics a bit, as they first meet each other as runaways in the book.

Do you ever see a trailer and just know in your bones that a show is going to be special? It's how I felt about A Handmaid's Tale and Westworld and This Is Us before they premiered . . . and it's also how I've felt about Freeform's upcoming Marvel series, Cloak & Dagger, since I saw the very first sneak peek.
As a comics reader and a teen drama TV enthusiast - it's my guilty pleasure, Ok? - the show's "Romeo and Juliet, but in a superhero universe" vibe is one that gives me the special gut feeling that it's going to be big. Here's everything you need to know about the show that will undoubtedly become your new obsession when it starts on June 7.
Who's starring?
Fresh face Aubrey Joseph will star as Tyrone (Cloak), and Disney Channel alum Olivia Holt will play Tandy (Dagger). You can read more about their respective characters here.

Freeform has released two new TV spots for Marvel's upcoming series Cloak & Dagger. The spots are called "Poison" and "Justice" and focus on the anger that has been building up in the two main characters through the loved ones they've lost. There's a good amount of new footage as the "Devine Pair" takes justice into their own hands as they face the corrupt Roxxon Corporation. From what I've seen, I like how these characters are being handled in the series.

I don't care what anyone says, Marvel's upcoming Cloak & Dagger series looks like it will be a great show! In another effort to help sell audiences on the show, Freeform has released a new trailer and it might just be the best one yet. It offers some fantastic new footage and we get to see two main characters see some action as they team up with each other to stop the evil heading that is terrorizing New Orleans. I like these two characters. They have a great dynamic and so far I like what I've seen on how they are being portrayed in this series.

Marvel has released another great new trailer for their upcoming Cloak & Dagger series. The new promo is called "Two Paths, One Destiny" and it follows the two main characters Tyrone (Aubrey Joseph) and Tandy (Olivia Holt) and shows us the very different lifestyles that they are living before a twist of fate brings them together. It also shows them experimenting with their mysterious powers. The promo offers us some great insight into who these characters are.
This series looks like it actually might turn out to be great and I'm excited about checking it out this summer. Have the trailers released so far sold you on the series?

Olivia Holt (Tandy Bowen) and Aubrey Joseph (Tyrone Johnson) become Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger in today’s exciting new sneak peek for the coming-of-age superhero story – which we now know will premiere on June 7th at 8pm Et.
Bursting with young romance and teenage angst, the live-action Cloak & Dagger comes to us courtesy of showrunner Joe Pokaski (Underground, Heroes), who will tell the tale of Tandy (Dagger) and Tyrone (Cloak), as they each struggle to come to terms with their superhuman abilities and keeping them under control – which is exactly what the footage above teases.
The two characters are, in essence, the polar opposites of each other; Holt’s Tandy Bowen can emit blinding light daggers on a whim, while Tyrone “Ty” Johnson harbors an ability that allows him to engulf others in darkness. Together, they form an alliance (and romance?) to tackle crime and the city’s underground drug trade.

Marvel and Freeform has released the first trailer for their new teen drama series Cloak & Dagger and I really like what I'm seeing. I don't really watch any shows on Freeform so I wasn't really sure what to expect when the series when it was first announced, but this trailer sold me on it! As the teaser alludes to, the titular characters have something of a history together, having come into contact with one another as kids. Exactly how that chance (?) meeting filters into the story, though, is still up for question.
They are, in essence, the polar opposites of each other; Holt’s Tandy Bowen can emit blinding light daggers on a whim, while Tyrone “Ty” Johnson harbors an ability that allows him to engulf others in darkness. Together, they form an alliance (and romance?...
