Elisabeth is a Sámi/Norwegian filmmaker from the Arctic Circle and the founder of Wonderline Productions. With a passion for storytelling and a fearless perspective, she has established herself as a rising talent in the film industry.
She sold her award-winning directorial debut "The Heart of Bruno Wizard" to Netflix and SVT. The film screened at more than 30 festivals around the world, including those qualifying for the Academy Awards, and was voted "must watch film" ahead The Frieze Art Fair by Dazed & Confused magazine. Elisabeth went on to direct a "Gullruten" nominated documentary series for Norwegian TV channel NRK (Sofa/Gogglebox). Rasmussen also co-produced the award-winning Argentine documentary "Llamarada"/"Blackout", which is showcasing and the Latin film festival circuit awaiting its official cinema premiere in Buenos Aires in 2023. She has just finishing a personal short documentary for Scandinavian streaming platform Altibox. "Phoenix" is about her overcoming a death sentence due to breast cancer while alone with her little rescue dog in New York during Covid 19.
Her storytelling heritage ranges from articles in The Observer Magazine (UK), music videos and video installations featured at Tele3 and Flaix TV (Spain), The Barbican and Selfridges (UK), The Norwegian Embassy in Berlin (Germany) as well as the most prestigious international film festivals. She holds a MA in Media and Communications with Merit from The City University of London & a BA in Philosophy with Merit from from the University of Tromsø.
Starting out as a guest coordinator for Tromsø International Film Festival and then marketing manager for The Aurora cinema chain in Norway, Elisabeth was inspired to make her first short. Her intimate style has allowed her to produce, direct and edit medically sensitive films for the production company Takepart Media & Science (Germany), make website "Mine Behandlingsvalg" for the University hospital in Tromsø, Norway as well as make inspiring training videos for the US Veterans.
Aside from her directorial work, Rasmussen is also known for her collaborative spirit and ability to bring out the best in her cast and crew, making her a sought after resource in the industry. She has lived and worked in Norway, Ecuador, Spain, Panama, Germany, USA & England and speaks fluent English and Spanish apart from her mother tongue. Elisabeth is a member of The Directors Guild of Norway. She was selected to be part of the ACE Producers program in Norway. "Stardust" will be her second feature documentary.
