Originally from South Africa's Eastern Cape province, Jac Williams completed his studies at film school in 2005, in Cape Town.
Jac rose through the ranks the old fashioned way, freelancing mostly in the commercial service industry for more than a decade.
He collaborated with Jacques Le Roux to form Man Makes a Picture in 2008, and has since produced numerous corporate and educational audio-visuals, as well as various TV documentary series whilst also working as a camera operator.
From 2012 to 2013 he produced and directed the award winning series, "It's Africa's Time" S1, for CNBC. A 13 x 26' series in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), documenting over 300 hours worth of footage across 15 African countries. Jac wrapped Ferdinand van Zyl's war drama feature film, 'The Recce', at the end of 2016 & Harold Holscher's, "8" or 'The Soul Collector' (horror, fantasy) in 2018, whereby he established himself as a tier 2 film producer. In 2017 he co-produced two reality TV game shows for the legendary console gaming company, Atari, which aired on Discovery Science and Eurosport.
Producing numerous short films, he wrapped "Agulhas" in Arniston in 2017, with legendary director Jacques Naudé. Jac produced an original format reality show "Model", in 2019 encouraging a new environmentally ethical industry, broadcasting on four major platforms in South Africa, including Showmax, SABC, ETV and Netflix world wide. He will produce his 3rd feature film in the fall of 2023.
