- On July 12, 2019, Hartridge was killed while travelling down Queenstown Road in Battersea, south London, when her electric scooter collided with a truck at about 8:30 am. Emergency services were called, but Hartridge was pronounced dead by the London ambulance service at the scene. She was 36. Her death became UK's first fatal scooter accident.
