“The Last of Us,” “The White Lotus,” “The Bear” and “Beef” gained momentum Saturday night as each show picked up big wins at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
HBO’s “The Last of Us” was by far the dominant favorite with eight wins. FX’s “The Bear,” Netflix’s “Wednesday” and HBO’s “The White Lotus” won four apiece. Netflix’s “Beef” took home three trophies on the first night of the two-night Creative Arts Awards at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles.
Wins for “Last of Us” included guest actor and actress in a drama series for Nick Offerman and Storm Reid, respectively. The series also won for visual effects, picture editing, sound editing and other key craft categories.
Judith Light prevailed as guest actress in a comedy for “Poker Face” while “Ted Lasso” favorite Sam Richardson took the statuette for guest actor in a comedy.

Among the dozen Emmy Awards “Game of Thrones” collected in 2019 for its final season was one for casting, which made it the first drama program to achieve a third victory in that category. Each time it was honored there, it also won Best Drama Series, setting a precedent that “Succession” could emulate this year after having taken both prizes in 2020 and 2022. Although it is heavily favored to clinch the top honor again, its potential casting win might not come as easily or at all, given the remarkably stiff competition it faces from “The White Lotus.”

‘House Of Gucci’, ‘Spencer’ and ‘The Lost Daughter’ are also nominated.
Belfast, No Time To Die and House Of Gucci are among the titles nominated for the fifth annual UK and Ireland’s Casting Directors’ Guild’s (CDG) Casting Awards 2023.
The three titles are all nominated for best casting in a film, along with Spencer and The Lost Daughter.
The winners will be announced at the CDG Awards on February 22.
