It’s all about the framing of a news story.
“We’re seeing it now, how a narrative can change the truth,” says Tracee Ellis Ross as she slides into a plush chair in her Los Angeles home. There’s no particular trending story on her mind. The actress and sometimes director is simply musing about the state of clickbait journalism and America’s eroding trust in the media. The topic is front and center in her latest movie, the Fourth Estate thriller “Cold Copy,” in which Ross plays Diane Hager, an esteemed yet cutthroat TV journalist who begins mentoring an ambitious wannabe (Bel Powley), eventually leading them both down a morally bankrupt path.
“There’s a way that you can tell stories, you can create a frame around a story that completely changes the identity of a human being, their humanity,” Ross says. “I think Diane Hager really is a part of that system.

Mariah Carey and Tracee Ellis Ross embraced their “ish” at Tuesday night’s series premiere event for ABC’s “Mixed-ish” by reflecting on how their biracial identity makes working on the new show even more personal.
“I’m just so thankful that this show exists,” Carey told the assembled crowd during a Q&a with series creator Kenya Barris. “To everyone that’s a fan of the show and of the topic and of the fact that we’ve evolved to a place where we can actually enlighten people, and without going into a whole long drawn out thing, it’s like representation is so important.”
“I actually cried when I watched the pilot,” she shared. “Obviously the humor is all there, but how displaced they are and it just made me feel like, that’s exactly how I felt. I didn’t grow up in a commune, but I might as well have.

Diana Ross is one of the biggest names in music, and her family is just as iconic. The legendary singer is a mom to five children: Evan Ross and Ross Naess, from her previous marriage to the late Arne Naess Jr.; Rhonda Ross Kendrick from her previous relationship with Berry Gordy; and Tracee Ellis Ross and Chudney Ross, from her previous marriage to music executive Robert Ellis Silberstein. Aside from hitting the red carpet with her children, Diana has been known to make appearances with her multiple grandchildren from time to time, including at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade last year. Just like her hit song, it's clear this clan has nothing but "endless love" for one another.

Diana Ross is known for her killer vocals and legendary hits, but she is also known for her big, modern family. The singer is mom to five children from three previous relationships. In 1965, when she was still with The Supremes, Diana began dating Motown CEO Berry Gordy. They were together for several years and even had a child together, Rhonda Suzanne Silberstein, in 1971.
When Diana was two months pregnant with Rhonda, she tied the knot with music executive Robert Ellis Silberstein, who was managing her at the time. Aside from Robert raising Rhonda as his own daughter, the couple also welcomed two children of their own, Tracee Ellis Ross and Chudney Ross, in 1972 and 1975, respectively. After nearly six years of marriage, the two divorced in 1977.

The Golden Globes love to acknowledge the children of major Hollywood stars, and no one fits the bill more at this upcoming ceremony than John David Washington. The son of Denzel Washington and Pauletta Washington, John David has earned strong acclaim for his performance as Ron Stallworth in “BlacKkKlansman,” and awards experts are saying he is a contender to receive his first Golden Globe nomination in the Best Drama Actor category, especially because of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s proclivity for showbiz dynasties.
