Philip D'Ambrosio
- Actor
Growing up in Sydney, Australia, Philip was the 'class clown' always getting into trouble. His parents channeled that energy into soccer and violin classes, but Philip had a strong desire to be an actor. It wasn't until he graduated from his a journalism degree, at the University of Technology Sydney, that he decided to shift gears and pursue acting at the age of 25. Two years later, after a string of independent theatre and student short films, he auditioned for the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) to show his father he could get in on his first attempt. He was successful and during his time at NIDA, he filmed a role in the world's first TV series for Instagram, The Out There, written by Mohini Herse (Appetite). Since graduating, Philip has performed in and produced, 'The Italians' at Downstairs Belvoir, where critics labeled him as a "first-rate comic character actor". Philip is working on an unscripted series based on a character he created in the play.
