Mireia Vilanova is a live action and animation producer from Barcelona working in Los Angeles. Her work has screened all around the world, in major festivals such as Tribeca, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, Outfest, Austin and Malaga, among others. Her projects have been supported by notable fellowships including Film Independent Project Involve, Indeed Rising Voices Seasons 2 and 3, NALIP Women of Color Incubator sponsored by Netflix, and Women in Film x Google Shorts Lab. She serves as Producer for the animation studio Cartuna (Magical Girl Friendship Squad, Human Kind Of), where she oversees international development and co-productions for both film and TV. At Cartuna, she has overseen projects for companies like Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, VH1, CMT, among others. In 2024, Mireia received the VFF Talent Highlight Award at the Berlinale Co-Production Market for the animated feature Silence Sometimes (currently in development), the first animated film to win this award. She is a Berlinale Talent, Film Independent Project Involve Producing Fellow and BAFTA Connect member for her achievements as an international producer, and holds an MFA from the Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California, which she attended on a full ride scholarship from the La Caixa Foundation, and a BA from Pompeu Fabra University.
