After kicking off with 11 contestants, Ali-a‘s YouTube competition has found its champion. After 17 episodes, Ali-a (whose real name is Alastair Aiken) and his fans have selected Mikeeey as the winner of the talent show’s 100,000 prize.
uTure first launched in June as an exclusive YouTube series. As implied by its title — which rhymes with “future” — uTure attempted to look ahead in hopes of finding one of the streaming stars of the future. The contestants were put through a number of varied challenges that were designed to test their abilities as both game players and content creators.
Many of the uTure judges, including Ali-a, LDShadowLady, and DanTDM, are British; however, they ultimately chose an energetic American creator to take home the competition’s top prize. Mikeeey came on strong early in the show and impressed Ali-a by wearing a hot dog costume...
