In the X-Men's new "From the Ashes" era, mutantkind's very own pop princess has a song that will unite the masses - and paint a big target on her back - in an all-new Dazzler comic book limited series.
From rising star Jason Loo (Sentry) and Marvel newcomer Rafael Loureiro, Dazzler kicks off this September and today, you can check out three all-new variant covers for the debut issue.
Among the new covers is a piece by Yasmine Putri and a special "Windowshades Variant Cover" by Marguerite Sauvage, both depicting Alison getting ready to hit the road for her world tour. And, like many of Marvel's major launches, Dazzler #1 will literally dazzle at comic shops with a Foil Variant Cover.
That incredible piece by superstar artist Kaare Andrews spotlights Dazzler in her beloved '80s costume.
Here's the official description for Dazzler #1:

With the fall of Krakoa, the X-Men's dream of coexistence has never felt more impossible. Luckily, mutantkind’s very own pop princess has a song that will unite the masses - and paint a big target on her back - in an all-new Dazzler comic book limited series coming this September.
From rising Marvel star Jason Loo (Sentry) and newcomer artist Rafael Loureiro, we're getting a major Taylor Swift vibe from the cover below...which may or may not be a coincidence with the singer rumoured to be playing the character in Deadpool & Wolverine.
No stranger to headlining, Alison Blaire enjoyed a successful solo career outside the X-Men in the 1980s with the fondly remembered and long-running Dazzler series. Now, she’s back to inspire a whole new generation, spreading a message of love and acceptance one sold-out show at a time.

Critical approval and positive audience reaction, reflected in consistent 80% scores for the latest DC Extended Universe installment Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, officially known as Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), don’t seem to be helping the film’s box office numbers, after its $33 million opening weekend landed it in the company of some of the worst financial performers in the history of DC’s cinematic endeavors.
Though most reviewers have praised Margot Robbie’s portrayal of the newly-upgraded title character, a role she reprises from David Ayer’s 2016 villain team-up film Suicide Squad, a dedicated minority of viewers continue to criticize the Australian’s depiction of the psychiatrist-turned-sociopath, and DC Comics writer Jimmy Palmiotti took to Twitter recently to have words with them:
Margot Robbie's portrayal of HarleyQuinn is exactly as we have been writing the character since 2013. For those saying she's nothing like the character,...

Although Oliver Queen made some minor alterations to his look throughout the first three seasons of Arrow, it wasn’t until the fourth year that he received a massive upgrade when it came to what he wore out in the field. Similarly, the Flash was rewarded with a shiny new costume once season 4 of his own show rolled around.
Now, with Supergirl confirmed to be returning for the 2018-19 broadcast year along with its other DC TV brethren, we can’t help but shake the feeling that the Girl of Steel will soon undergo a visual overhaul. After all, not only would this be in keeping with the aforementioned timeline established, but our heroine could very well have her world shaken up before long if this situation with Reign ends as brutally as we assume.
In other words, it’s time for a makeover!
Perhaps it’s purely coincidental, but...
