Danielle was born in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, 100 kilometers west of Toronto. She attended Jacob Hespeler Secondary School in Cambridge, Ontario and Centre Wellington District High School in Fergus, Ontario. In high school, she competed on the school tennis and track teams.
Moore was a competitive figure skater and was featured in an ABC sports commercial in 2006. She also represented Belgium at the opening ceremonies for the 2009/2010 ISU Grand Prix. As part of her conditioning, she trained in many other disciplines including ballroom dance, Latin dance, hip-hop, ballet, Kenpo and kickboxing. She retired as a figure skater in 2010.
While studying at the Université Paris-Sorbonne in Paris, France, she also took classes at the Centre de Danse du Marais dance academy. Shortly after moving to Ireland and unable to find work, Moore auditioned in Dublin for a role in the British-American horror drama television series Penny Dreadful. The series was canceled before her role was filmed. At the last minute, she was offered a second audition for Into the Badlands (2015). Due to her athletic background, she was used on the series' fight and stunt units. She can also be seen in period dramas such as Rebellion (2016), and The Professor and the Madman (2019).
