Review of 19.26

19.26 (1993)
A side of Post-Soviet culture that you've never seen.
25 May 1999
This documentary is virtually impossible to find. It represents some early experimental filmmaking by one of the most under appreciated filmmakers to emerge from the '90s decade: Mark Archer. The film is narrated completely by the Director, from his personal notes and journal entries made throughout the filming. It provides an interesting insight into the creative mind that would, just a few years later, mastermind the success of one of the most successful and popular independent films ever: "In the Company of Men". This film is a must for all indie and experimental film fans.
