Review of Sach

Sach (1989)
Frank and realistic
3 July 2000
The story about an extra-marital affair is dealt with honesty (the title means "the truth") and realism here, without melodrama, or typical Indian song and dance numbers. in fact, this film features many frank scenes of prolonged kissing, which is unique for an Indian film. Usually, either the camera pans away or the actors turn their heads away from the camera, just as they are about to kiss (or else u see a close-up of two flowers nudging each other). however, this is not meant to be an erotic film. it is a low-budget art movie, and i found it quite interesting, if a bit talky. -----rating: 7/10
