Review of Max

Max (I) (2002)
5/10
Never got out of the starting gate and dull.
15 January 2004
I'm not sure what I expected of the movie. I'm a fan of John Cusack and he did his part exceptionally well. To me the movie never really went anywhere. Shows a fictional relationship between an art dealer, Cusack, and Adolf Hitler, Noah Taylor, at the end of WWI. Hitler is a struggling artist who discovers he isn't that good although Max keeps encouraging him. And in the end Hitler decides to apply his talents to politics rather than art. I must admit I dozed off on this one, it was so slow with not much plot that it just never could hold my attention. Dull would be an appropriate description.
