To minore tis avgis (1983–1984)

An excellent old times movie
19 August 2007
The movie stories the Greek culture from 1930-1960. It tries to illustrate the years when the Rebetico music style was born. It follows the lives of four different people (Antonis, Mitsos, Baggelis, Thanasis) who initially created a group and became known. Throughout the series popular songs of old composers (Vamvakaris, Tsitsanis, Papaioanou, etc.) are heard. The movie describes very well the Piraeus and Athens of 1930. The only disadvantage is that the story has many gaps it covers 50 years in 26 episodes. Also, you never tend to see what really happens. You never see how the heroes die, you only hear for their death. If this series was created in these years it could easily cover 2-3 seasons. Overall it is a series worth watching.
