I'm very glad we got Futurama back, although I thought the first couple of episodes weren't up to the usual Futurama standards.

There is quite a lot of competition now, especially with Family Guy, American Dad and The Simpsons. At the moment I find both American Dad and Family Guy to be funnier and more entertaining.

When Futurama first came out, comparing it to The Simpsons, the show took The Simpsons humor a step further, and the jokes often more suitable for grown ups than for kids. I welcomed this evolution and later we got Family Guy as well which is one of my favorite shows.

After the success of Family Guy and American dad I noticed The Simpsons show changed a little bit, suddenly there were a lot more jokes and references for grown ups. This was a very positive thing, and now The Simpsons are in the same league as Family Guy and American dad.

But now I find Futurama being left behind a little. That's why I don't understand why characters such as Calculon and The Zapper haven't been featured more in the episodes so far, and this is episode 12. They're some of the best Futurama characters along with Bender and Zoidberg. In earlier series these characters were essential ingredients for excellent episodes.

I find this a bit worrying, surely Matt Groening and co are aware of this..
