This review may contain SPOILERS. This review is of Blafferen, the Swedish Sex Collection double-disc. One disc is the soft core version which runs for 112 minutes while the hardcore version on the second disc runs for only 93 minutes. The hardcore version contains close-up penetration shots, while some other scenes have been cut down or omitted altogether. For instance, the farmyard scene showing Denise (Marie Forsa) has been cut down. Omitted altogether are the scenes of the telephone call that Frank (Harry Reems) makes on his way to Munich and the final scene of Frank in his apartment with the the nightclub dancer. Other scenes also have their share of editing.
Country girl Denise is fed up with life on the farm and also with her boyfriend Freddy (Eric Edwards) so she heads off to Munich for some good times. She meets Frank, and is soon living with him in Munich. Cue sex scenes aplenty. Frank though, cannot keep his hands off other women. Cue more sex scenes. It becomes apparent to Denise that she is just another of Frank's conquests, a lesson learned by previous conquests, and conquests to come. As Frank says when his next girlfriend leaves him, "There will always be another." This raises the question of who gained by womens' liberation or the sexual revolution - women or men? In the end Denise yearns for the certainty of her old boyfriend.
In the commentary and biography, it is said that Marie and co-star Eric Edwards carried on their relationship off-screen as well so she certainly seemed to enjoy what she was doing. She certainly gave everything she had, as did the other women in this film. The one aspect that did grate was regular use of close-ups. It was annoying that the actors get naked for their sex scenes and then we get close-ups of their faces. Despite this one gripe, there is still plenty to see, so a definite recommendation.
