Hilarious short film sure to amuse young dudes
13 August 2013
"Men of the Hour" is a clever and playful mash-up of modern tropes, such as outrageous bachelor party entertainments, lame porn film filler scenes, and last but definitely not least, modern personifications of Jesus. Film writer/director Michaela Stewart deftly works this palette into a giddy, tongue-in-cheek, froth of a film.

The characters quickly move from ennui and boredom into a creative mania, all in the name of upholding the banner of supreme prankster-ism and providing entertainment for particularly chaste and religious young friend's bachelor party. An entertainment that they are determined he will never, ever forget.

Actor Brandon Burtis leads the charge, goading the group into creative action with his manic enthusiasm, the same way his character powers this 10 minute film forward. Shannon Wagner, as his deadpan and wary girlfriend finds empowerment behind the camera. Marc Leclerc, as an initially reluctant partner in this prank, merrily tries out porn stereotype character after character in search of the most outrageous and hilarious. They seem very pleased with their film in the end, I think you'll like it too.
